I read Armando's write-up of the same Philbin interview, and it appeared to be the literal quotes by him. Omar did some interpreting of his own. Not as down on some of the guys as Omar stated in his opinion.

Because one guy took a stand against what he thought was an unignorable issue and left the program, while another guy took an easily ignorable issue and did nothing about it until he was kicked out of a program?

Weren't the Dolphins all over Dez Bryant in 2010 trying as hard as possible to arrange a trade down?

Its right near the hard drive's carburetor. Its the part of the RIM memory that holds all the keystrokes and mouse button pushes you've made. Its why things like "undo" and "redo" work.

Open your browser and hold down "a", option, the spacebar and "f", then click the close window button on your browser.

If you did it right, a message window will pop up and ask you how clear you want your cache.

I don't think there's any doubt we hurtin at that position right now, but let me ask you this, collectively, with what we got out of the starting corners last year, don't you think we can find two replacements with just as much talent?

I mean if we attack this draft at corner lets say, drop in the draft select Trufant and DJ Hayden later, pick up one of these solid free agents like Grimes or Porter and were good to go CK?

That's not Wilson's only red flag..it's the icing in the cake for that punk..

I've never seen Tyronne act like a fool on the field, never seen him throw his coaches and teammates under the bus, never seen him ***** and whine while he's playing ball, never seen him not walk back to the huddle on purpose..Wilson is a punk imo..I'll take the warts of the badger over that sh&$ any day.

Can't be... They scouted him heavily, its well documented. But then they proceeded to trade for Brandon Marshall. I thought Bryant would still be an option though.

Anywho, They had the chance to take him @ # 12, but traded back to #28.

That's your opinion. (and that's fine)

But you asked why someone might want one over the other, and I tried to potentially give an answer you'd understand.

I hope you are right and I am wrong in regards to the Dolphins drafting Austin. I just figure that Ireland might feel that there are more pressing needs with his first round draft pick. I hope on draft day you can tell me, "I told you so".

No no, by no means am I implying that's what Ireland is gonna do..I have no idea what he's gonna do, I can only hope for my own guys and explain why they make sense, and what you can do with them once aquired..

I can see the allocation of resources being a deterrent from selecting Austin..except, if you plan on using a top five slot receiver as bait..

I would agree, but I would only add, that what Tyrone did in college is much more easier to change than being a complete douchbag...less risk.still with very high reward..

    I thought this as well.

As with several above - I thought Philbin's comment did not bode well for Austin:

Not that Austin is an alpha but more of a specialist.

The fact that Ireland scouted WVU several times may mean that they will look at Bailey in rounds 2-3.

Austin is coming in for a visit (of course, some of that could also be a smoke screen) - so it will be interesting to see. Maybe they will talk to him about the route tree and ask him to run it.

I am glad to have all WR's be able to do that - and that gives both flexibility and depth. But, at the same time, you need players to be special and not be locked in.

This also, it seems to me, to speak more against Bess than anything. Austin's deep speed gives him more of a shot at the full route tree than Bess who is pretty slow (4.7s). Hmmmm...

I can't believe after the discussion that Jim turner had with that guy that he would spit in his and our faces...but if so, I would not only cut him that day and escort him out of the building, but I would drop his *** off at McDonalds.

We really didn't see enough of Marshall in Miami to know what he can do for us. He got hurt vs Oakland, so from then on he wasn't 100%. After signing him last year, I never expected Ireland to give up on him so soon.
I think looking at his complete season in 2011, we get a better picture. He led all corners in run stop pct. He was 3rd best in coverage snaps per reception at 17.9, behind only Nnamdi and Gamble. Coverage snaps per target he is 2nd to Nnamdi. Passer rating into his coverage he was 13th best at 64.9

In coverage snaps per reception in the slot in 2011, Patterson was 4th best with 12.0, behind Brice McCain, Ladarius Webb and Charles Woodson. Passer rating into his coverage he was 6th best at 66.2

We used several players as slot corner in 2012, and our best was Chris Clemons, followed by Marshall. Clemons was 17.3 snaps per reception and Marshall was 16. Our most often slot corner was Wilson and he was a terrible 8.6 snaps per reception.

We talk about zone blocking and mobility and we have a RG that started the season at friggin 358 and SCREW what was in print. Now we would like him to be 340? Thats a joke, a friggin joke. If Jerrys fat *** is over 330 lbs on April 15th when the players report then give him a chocolate donut and a dam bus ticket.

It would also make sense that if Ireland were to be interested in Austin, then let the smoke screens commence..

Of course. What should we expect from them? Philbin to come on the national TV and say: "we really want to draft that Austin kid from West Va" ?

I would take Austin in a half a heart beat at 12. You can never have too many weapons. Besides, nothing is in stone Gibson will be successful. Hartline and Bess I know will do decent but neither has the speed Austin has. Hell, throw 6 dam receivers on the field at one time, wait, 5 Oline, 1 QB 6 receivers? yep, that equals 11 LOL

Someone who throws a fit on a football field, showing up teammates and coaches is a loser, matthieu could have anxiety issues, or just be afraid of the spotlight, it doesn't help that everyone either wanted to fu&$ him or be his friend, for all the wrong reasons.
