One thing these show is how different scouts can rank players (as well as teams). Who really has a clue how Miami rates these same guys? Could be similar to Lande or completely different. Mayock, for example, has the top DEs down near the 20s. Not in his top 10.

Not saying that I agree with this. And, I highlighted some players we've discussed - mostly for illustration.

He has Travis Kelce at 176 (5.4 rating).

He has three hi profile players that I agree with in terms of them being overrated thus far as it relates to where they have been projected and where I have their evaluations.

    Patterson..Shariff Floyd..Ogletree.

    Tavon top 15.. Agreed..

    Eifert..agreed.

    Jordan and Richardson before Floyd..agreed

Ryan Nassib at #1 overall? That's a bit surprising.

While there's a few I disagree with (obviously), I agree with many of his rankings on many of the guys we've been talking about here. Specifically, Werner, Austin, Patterson, Jordan, Vacarro, Cyprien, Hopkins and few others.

Hmm, what jumps out at me is only what 7 of the top 32 are skill position offensive players, will that lead to over drafting offensive talent out of position on his rankings?

Imagine being able to get Trufant in the late 2nd.

I've often said that about Kiper, but considering Lande used to actually work as a college scout in the NFL, and from reading his draft books he used to publish, I believe he uses visual observation by and large to compile his rankings. When he used to publish draft profiles on players he would list the exact games he watched for each player. Of course he could have been lying.

I respect that he seems to have put in a lot of hours.

Also glad he sees Elam and Swope as low as I do.

Disagree with some of his stuff, but hey, that's why the draft is fun... And why we can get great players other fools overlook.

As Mark Twain said, "Here's to the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed."
