I kind of like that one.

 

Oh boy. Just win games and this will grow on them. Eventually.

 

I'll pass for now. I'm already up to my ears in messy projects. Keep me in mind though.
Structural design. I'm a bridge guy and plenty of civil and industrial.
I have to laugh at you guys afraid of 3D. BIM is easy and that is what the client wants to see.

As I've said before - I can say with 100% accuracy that the "leaked" twitter logo is 100% accurate.

That helmet is not, though. I'm not sure if there will be different home/away helmets, but the helmet I know to exist has a solid large aqua stripe, with two black/very very dark navy stripes outlining it.

Same color that outlines the numbers on the jersey. No drop shadow. The only orange on the helmet is the sunburst.

I've seen a photo of the final product. They used it in a photoshoot and a commercial which is to be aired for the unveiling. Well, it was, but they had to replace the number of the jersey because of a surprise move.

 

I'm at 50-50. Half the people I talked to said they thought it looked modern and sleek. The other half didn't care for it and thought it was mistake to change our logo as it was "classic." We've had our current logo for what? 15 years? While slightly different than the previous logo's that came before it, the evolution came slowly with little alterations and details.

Although, all them liked the classic pose better than the new one. That was the one universal criticism from both sides. I don't know why they went to that extreme.

 

one thing i'll say, this doesn't look like a uniform. it looks like one of those breathable fabric sport shirts. but there is no change in pattern/texture, no stripes, no number. maybe this is a logo, but its def not a jersey.

 

see I think it is a jersey because the logo is so small... I think its a sleeve and there are no stripes on the jersey, plus the guy even said it was a jersey

 

Exactly what I was thinking. I have a few Giants (sf) shirts with that Nike dri fit material with a logo that small on the chest part of the shirt. I think you're right.

 

What does that mean?

Why did Nike just redesign that jersey for one year, I loved it, but I guess we won't be seeing it again, we wore it against the texans and bills.

 

NIKE has no choice on who changes their jersey. Simple answer is because REEBOK contract ran up, NIKE took over and designed their version of teams current jerseys

 

Dansby was used in the photos and the commercial spot. Well, not Dansby himself, but his number. I'd have to imagine they will be using one of the new franchise guys, like T Hill or Wallace.

 

I really don't know how I feel about this logo. It just doesn't really look like a logo a football team would use. The sunburst looks weird too, I don't know, I just feel like an "M" or something would look better. That dolphin just looks so girly like it should be on the front of a hotel on south beach. I think it will take some time for people to come around, gotta see how it looks with the new uni's and everything. I like the old school ones with the stripes and a more of a plain look. Whatever I know I'm gonna' get **** from my boys, "dolphins are the softest team in the league, look at that ***** *** logo". You think they are gonna' change the way the font and everything looks for the Miami Dolphins when written out on merchandise or whatever?

I don't know if I'm just seeing too much into this logo (which I really like), but I see the letter M all around as part of the sunburst... Maybe that's why they went with that particular style? :shrug:

Hey Crazy.....the colors of the Jersey you have seen....are they more blue, like the dolphin in the logo, or more teal like the sleeve of that shirt.

It's the same Pantone color, but it looks different because materials reflect light differently. In short, it's an optical illusion.

 

Right...but...which shade is the correct one? I would assume its the Dolphin, because there is no sheen to reflect the light....

 

I'd go with the logo version. The funny thing is that to perfectly match the colors between the helmet logo, tackle twill (or screen printed, in this case) logo, and uniform material you'd have to use a minimum of three different Pantone colors.

I guess you missed the part where he continued to tell me thst i would love it, meaning it is likely already done. I then added in the subsequent post...my opinion.

 

I also said the uni was not set in stone. Not the logo. So yeah, you are having reading comprehension issues

This is going to seem offensive, but I don't mean it that way. Man up. You're worried about your boys coming at you with some weakness like that? The logo? Your a Dolphin fan, your teams colors are aqua and coral. You should have the swagger to rock those colors. Do you know why Raider fans dress the way they do? Its because that's all they have in their desperate little lives.

That's incredibly common. People resist change primarily when it's something related to their beliefs. Fans of a team have invested a great deal, primarily emotionally, in what they believe that team should look like. If you change that, it impacts them. They react emotionally. They lack objectivity. IMO if you showed the new logo and old logo to 100 people who had never seen either one, they would overwhelmingly like the new logo better. And if you threw in the '72 logo, that one would be last by a wide margin. Yet fans of the team will often complain about any such change and claim the original one was the best. Look at the Jags logo. Most here don't have any emotional investment in that team and liked their new logo just fine. (There was less change so most of us may not even notice have noticed it w/o an announcement). But you go on a Jags board and you'll see a thread much like this complaining about the new logo.

 

Photos or it didn't happen. Come on, man up and give us the goods (other than words).

 

I don't know that the logo has necessarily flipped directions. It could just be a shirt sleeve. In 2012 with the new Nike jersey, both Dolphins logos on the sleeves faced forward (see pic) meaning that one of them was facing left.

 

It is like that on the helmets as well. Shhhhh...don't tell them. Sometimes it is fun watching the mouth breathers flail.

Not where I live....water filtration systems are your friend.

 

Technically I think it was supposed to, at least on a stand-alone level (i.e. like when you see it splashed on the tv scroll or on a wall behind a press conference). It's hard to tell on helmets and certain articles of clothing because any logo that points in one direction would get mirrored on any article that would have the logo on opposite sides.
