You're telling me Fitz, Roberts and Floyd is better than Jennings, Decker and Cobb? Not saying I have the best receiving core in the league, but I would like to think it's up there. Fitz makes your receiving core. Floyd still needs more time to develop. Stafford throwing him the ball should help, but I think there other receiving cores out there in GML that contend for the best pass attack in the league.
I'm sure there are a bunch of good wr groups out there, ala Kenny Britt, Danny Amendola, Kendall Wright. Best is in the eye of the beholder.
Its because I have Fitz why I'm saying I have the best. CJ is 1a Fitz is 1b. Its hard to gauge how good Roberts and Floyd can be without a QB in Arizona, liked what I saw though. I actually like the Bengals as a whole with their tight ends included.
Woah woah, you can't be dissing my boy VD85 now.. but hey, the draft just started. Last time I checked, 17 draft selections are sitting in my back-pocket. We'll see what happens.
I'll just go on record now and say I won't be trading down any picks when it finally gets to me in the 2nd round. If I'm going to do any trading it'll be over before my pick is up on the clock....instead of stalling hoping for that slim chance. 28 guys looking to trade down..maybe 4 up ;p The real trade action will probably be the top 1/3 of round 2. That's when the trade games will probably kick into high gear.
Case for Jags WRs: Stevie Johnson (1,046 rec yds, 6 TDs), 26 years old Brian Hartline (1,083 rec yds, 1 TD), 26 years old Cecil Shorts (979 yds, 7 TDs), 25 years old That's three of the top 21 league leaders in receiving yards last year, all entering the prime of their career. Not sure who else can claim that type of balance and production. Plus, Matt Ryan will be throwing them the ball. Other WR groups I like: Philadelphia (Calvin Johnson, Maclin, Rice and Baldwin), San Fran (Cobb, decker, Jennings), Bengals (BMarsh and Thomas), GB and Seattle. Arizona are Atlanta good too, although not much different from last year.
If that's in reference to me im by no means stalling. I was under the impression i would be selecting tomorrow. I just got to my computer a little while ago on a count of taking the wife car shopping all day. I apologize to everyone for the hold up but it would be foolish for me to not weigh my options. If a trade does not occur shortly my selection will happen soon.
My WR group isnt much different then what I inherited? Mike Wallace, Steve Smith (the good one) and Tate isnt much different from Sidney the Kidney Rice and assorted other doo doo and Tate? Plus Keller is an upgrade on Zach Miller....
He guys, good news I get to pla with m iphone for 10 minutes while the bride entertains her made of honors !!! I promised her that if she let me look at my draft (and brag) that she would 1- make me happy, and 2- she was going to get the best sex she ever had. I thought I was in a win win situation... guess again.... she answered : and if I am lucky it wont be with you !!! I know she was kidding, but gosh that just killed my joy Very happpy with my draft thought I give myself a solid A-
Hey, i gave everyone the chance to trade up. The Bears gm is a good friend of mine and we have been on the phone and he decided to cancel any trade. So i had to draft someone, so i went BPA and it happen to be a position of need.
My apologies to the Ravens. It wasn't intentional. I had planned on drafting Jones if i couldnt trade pick 13 the second i was on the clock. I thought i had a trade in place and the bears decided to not work it out. And sorry to everyone again for the wait
I'm kinda ticked because by the time I quick-replied the pick, I find out the trade was deemed illegal.
It was more of a joke....cause I will probably be holding folks up by sleeping since I work nights and sleep through the day.....but at least I promise not to hold em up in an attempt to trade down ;p
Like i said, i apologize for that. I never seen you post it. But regardless if i didnt trade the pick i was gonna draft Jones. I was on the phone with the bears and didn't realize the trade he offered was invalid. I tried to work something else out with him and he declined. Sorry again, i wasnt trying to be a dick
I sincerely didn't. I only saw you question it, then move on. When my selection was made, that's when I saw it.
Bucs traded with the Bears who selected I guess Eifert then Ravens selected Jones but the trade was voided because of draft picks not being owned so those 2 picks were wiped away and the Bucs took Jones and Ravens were fuming.
