Well the way things are shaking out apparently Martin is the LT. We still need a RT and to experiment with Yeatman in OTAs as a starting RT is completely crazy. Keeping John Jerry at RG or any position is not going to work. We need a RT and a RG BAD. If we do not fill in those two postions I do not care if we have the best Wide Receivers in the league, Tannheill is going to get creamed. If you look at the clip of Martin getting run over in the SF game or any of his game clips you will see in plain site, the young man has some of the most horrible foot placement on the planet. Add the fact he has little or no upper body strength and its not good.

Been saying it and will say it again. We have a Center and a Left guard that are actual football players. A LT, Martin, that may have potential and no Right tackle and a RG, Jerry thats a mess and will surely be overweight again when they check in April 15th. If John Jerry is 330 lbs on April 15th then I am the Pope. The only guarantee I can give you on Jerry is he WILL be overweight, again.

If you take the above into account ? This Oline is messed up. Even if Jake was here we would have no clue of how he could play. Its being reported he cannot even participate in Team activities until the middle of May. And everyone thought he was healthy eh ? Or so Andrews reported. Healthy and being able to play the game of football are two entirely different things. He most likely will do better in St. Louis because Bradford can move and has a rocket for an arm.

Put me down as pessimistic on Martin at LT until he proves otherwise. Its just like anything: until he does it on the field the only things we have to evaluate him with is his prior performance ... whether that be statistically and/or with our own eyes. If he spends training camp and preseason getting run over again, then I'll be pretty worried for Tannehill's health. More so if we haven't brought in anyone to challenge him.

    Good news: he's improved!

Bad news: he's only gone from 5th worst to 14th worst. But hey that's progress! He should be at suitable status by 2017.

Odrick has turned out to be quite the pass rusher from the interior. I just wish it didn't take the Dolphins three-plus years to figure that out.

Just wait till they figure out that Dion Jordan is good and can play more than 18 snaps a game.

Any body with a brain could see his potential from the inside. I hated the pick originally. Then when I seen him on the field I instantly fell in love with his game and the pick. It baffled me having him on the outside.

Simon and I were actually fans of the pick. We both liked Odrick before the draft. But as a defensive tackle.

Not that I didn't like him as a player. I just hated an interior lineman pick.

To the subject of Jonathan Martin, one of you guys (who shall remain nameless as I'll give him the opportunity to out himself if he chooses) I've already discussed this with on twitter, but are we just delaying the inevitable here?

I get that our senses of logic know that there have been offensive tackles out there that didn't look so hot right away and took a little bit of time. Has Jonathan Martin given us REAL reason to believe he's one of those guys? Or are we just pegging him for starting positions based on hope alone.

To be honest if I get a chance at a left tackle in the off season, I'm taking it. And if I get a chance at a right tackle too, I'm taking it. He's not playing well. He's not improved. From here you expect him to earn his opportunities, not be handed them, and he's not earning them. Or rather he is earning them by simple virtue of our not having any tackle depth whatsoever.

Pro Bowl voting after 7 games? 9 games to go. That's just screwed up.

I would not htrow Martin aside and expend more resources until I had a new O-line coach get a crack at him.

How the hell can this one keep his job if his line is on pace to set an NFL record, and not the good kind?

..... or as a disruptive 1-gap 3-4 end. If we would've remained at pick #12 I would've switched to a 3-4 on the fly and drafted Sheldon Richardson, with Soliai 2-gapping in the middle.

I think that Anthony Collins of the Bengals was a better OT coming out of college and he's probably a better Tackle now, as a reserve, than Martin is as a starter for us. There's a Cleveland Brown Jr. element to Martin- he's big and smart, but he's on the soft side (especially last year) and he just lacks athleticism and balance. Plus a mean streak. He just isn't that good.

If you think Jonathan Martin sucks, well he has an illness apparently and Clabo might get the start on Thursday.
