The other two are Reshad Jones and Brandon Fields. If you remember, Jones made their All-Under 25 team of the top positional players under 25 in the NFL.

I'm not sure Wheeler got paid like someone who is underrated.

Fields got robbed out of being the first choice for the Pro-Bowl.
Hard to understand why a Punter with his numbers was considered underrated.

You've essentially described what being underrated is.

And, consistently. I can't remember the last time this guy had a bad punt let alone a bad game.

I personally think a top-notch Punter is an under-rated position all together. A good punter can be a HUGE difference in shortening up the field. Nice for the defense to go in knowing that our guy is going to pin the other offense deep.

Oh I agree. Look at this game against the Jets in 2010. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201012120nyj.htm

Without Fields we may have lost that game. He came up huge for us and was a key part in our victory

Great punting is definitely important. Steve Weatherford played a solid role in the Giants winning in 2012.

In that game, he punted 10 times and average 56.4 yards. Jets Punter, 8 punts and averaged 38.4

    lol, didn't get it,did you?
There are only 32 Punters in the League,It's hard for ANYONE to MISS punters stats and whathaveyou.
He's not underrated. He was slighted, ripped off, raped and robbed not to be noticed in the first place.

It's easy to miss punters. I can name maybe 5-7 punters.

    Shane Lechler
    Brandon Fields
    Steve Weatherford
    Zoltan Mesko
    Britton Colquitt
    Reggie Hodges
    Chris Kluwe

Note: I had to look up 2 first names on the above list.

wouldn't it be nice, if for change our punter would not be mentioned and players at really important positions would be viewed at underrated or better...love fields, but you know what i mean
