If I had been watching, I would have drafted right after the previous GM instead of over an hour later. I want to speed this thing along like many others.
I was kind enough to apologize and explain why i didnt pick until i did. But for some reason thats not good enough for you. So if you feel the need to intentionally wait to pick and hold things up out of spite you go for it. This was no personal attack on anyone nor did i do it intentionally to make anyone mad or wait for a trade. So ill take the high road again apologize to everyone for the inconvenience.
He was just joking man, relax. BK isn't one to rub feathers... Paul, on the other hand. Nappy Roots can be pretty bad too apparently... judging by his meltdown after the Fluker/Hunter selections.
See I don't understand the melt downs. If others are taking your players, that means you could be targeting the right guys. Me on the other hand; I have sailed through this whole draft so far without contention. For the Patriots I feel I am doing it right by me, but as a GM I feel I am screwing it all up... which for me is doing right for the Patriots. EDIT: I quoted the wrong post. I am a prime example of a proper GM!
Oh i'm relaxed. Just wanted to make it clear i had no intentions on doing what i did and holding things up. Just had some family matters to deal with. Trust me i get just as annoyed as the next guy when someone waits that long. That's why i apologized because this time i was "that guy"!lol
And im disgusted with my self for missing out on Elam and Reed, two fine members of the gator nation just to reach for a guy and miss spell his name. lol
Based on his posting history Id put money hes not on this board now and wont be til morning. Id be very surprised....
Con will probably log in around 6AM EST or so.. I wouldn't expect him to log on again tonight though. This is based on whenever I talked trades with him the cutoff was around 10:30PM EST or so .
Lol. This pick is HOT. Cons offer is great...and someone just about nearly stepped up to beat it. I'm happy as hell....just wish I wasn't slowing things down.
actually, If I can get my pick in before I go to work, I will... otherwise, it will be on my lunch (or so) which is right around my pick time anyway. #warned....
What are the rules on trades? Can we trade a player we signed in FA for a pick or are we stuck with that player unless we drop them outright? The reason I ask is, I know during FA if we signed a guy over 480K+ or 530K+ I can't remember, we couldn't just drop them. Do those same rules apply for the draft or are we allowed to trade anyone on our roster at this point now? EDIT: I just reread that and my lord was that ****ed up. I am confusing myself here. Forget about the dropping of a player... can we trade a player signed as a FA to another team for a draft pick? I think that is what I was getting at. I think.
On the plus side. This is my morning. So as soon as I get a pm I will be able to complete this. I will be awake till roughly 1pm est.
Guys you signed who were paid over 550k cannot be traded or released. Guys you've signed from Free Agency cannot be traded.
you can only release guys making under 550K signed through FA. So anything equal to or less than $549.99, yes that penny makes a difference on whether you can cut a guy or not.
are you saying Australians are fat and some might have the same first name as a former Hamilton Ti-Cat who's name ends in Lumsden?
Maaaaaaaybe. Not even a dire need position....but the value....huge! Edit: good job on using my hometown team as a reference.
Hey Paul....penny for your thoughts? Cause Penny and me like to roll the windows down Turn the radio up, push the pedal to the ground And Penny and me like to gaze at starry skies Close our eyes, pretend to fly It's always Penny and me tonight Penny. Penny. Penny.
