Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

I love the white facemasks. So much better than aqua. And the new logo actually looks great on the helmet. Has a nice flow to it.

 

I think it's possible someone from this board or another tweeted him and asked if he had heard about the black trim. So he does some digging and someone at Dolphins HQ gets all paranoid the surprise may get ruined, so they give out some info to throw people off track.

Wow.

After a recent conversation, as well as another PM I just got, I'm now convinced my information is outdated and Ben Volin is right. I guess... they did switch to the other design. I'm stunned.

I'm glad! The pic you showed me I didn't care for to be honest. The 2n one I liked better but again did not like the blackness... I'm glad they changed. Black also made no sense since its not in their colors. Glad they smarten up

Volin has the correct information, Crazy's was right, but old and was changed.

 

Haha and of course, after DMing with Volin himself, I'm not sure AGAIN.

He has actually seen the uniform itself, but he saw the away. After discussing and sending him snippets of mine, he thinks that's the HOME jersey. So now we're just confused lol. I'm just going to go ahead and say that I don't know for sure anymore.

Looks like, until I get some more information, I'm dealing with confusing information. I thought that the HOME jersey would have been the aqua not the white, but who knows. Away = Orange outline Home = Dark Navy? Not sure.

 

I think Crazy needs a drink.

 

As long as more people are happy about the orange outline I'm cool..

JT's uniforms are that cool anyway..

It makes sense. The first pic they had an idea, then the 2nd one was the same as the first but they modified it. And they prob took the 2nd pic and fixed it again. It's like the leaked logo. It was a prototype that eventually became the new logo. Same with the unis. Kinda cool to see the progress! Thanks for sharing crazy! I am grateful that you trusted me enough to give me these photos.

I'm crossing my fingers for aqua numbers with orange outline. And hopefully NO tramp stamp

 

I think this thread is reminding me of the movie 'Thirteen Days' with Kevin Costner. Anyone who has seen that movie knows what I mean. Lol.

Can we get the correct mockup edited in to the OP?

 

I was shown pictures of the home jersey. I was just told that it's likely Volin saw the aways.

The big news here is that I thought I saw away unis the whole time... and that Miami is going to have white uniforms for home AND away. Interesting.

The orange pic I saw that was "pre" black outline was a home uniform as well. So there's still a very strong chance that the home uniforms are going to be aqua with the navy outline.

Interesting, I hope it's not true as I like aqua uniforms. And even though Miami wears white more, aqua jerseys sell way more then white, so that's also interesting. Also it's confusing having two white uniforms. But the helmet has changed it seems. No black outline there

No. A great logo CAN BE great art, but they aren't always the same thing. A logo can be a great logo without being great art. Regardless, great art and great logos need a certain level of craftsmanship, especially graphic design like a logo.

I've posted the font multiple times. Lets say that JT's mock up is dead on. No drop shadow is the main difference.

Well Dolphins need to have a dark jersey. If they play cowboys at Dallas, they both can't wear white. So maybe if true they have white/home navy, white away orange and alternate aqua. Maybe that's why they don't have orange jerseys because they are only allowed 1 alternate.

Plus we saw the aqua unis in the leak, could be the white/white and aqua alternate like I said above. Would be unique. Makes sense why there would be no orange because you would think when releasing the unis you would create home/away/alternate

They were probably going with the aqua trimmed in navy, then for whatever reason decided to go with the orange trim. They might have already had the ball rolling with aqua/navy and needed the extra week to get the orange trim, hence the extra week before release. Just a thought. Personally the orange trim after seeing the navy trim, looks beyond horrible. That navy really looked clean. I wish I had never seen how good our uniforms could look if they are going to go back to orange. Oh well, maybe I can just go buy an old black and white TV and imagine they are navy.

I notice a lot like the navy trim, I must be one of few who love the orange in our color scheme and hate navy. Plus it's more bluer then navy now. And my favorite color is blue, but something about aqua and orange together I feel goes better.
