Tried to do one with minimal trades down, and with the inflexible goal of taking Tavon, regardless of other cirumstances... I ended up adding a lot of explosive YAC players, but ****ed myself on the Oline as all the guys I wanted were taken befor eI could get to them.. even the value picks like Menelik, Xavier, B Winters and Schwenke.

Great offensive players, great help at CB and FS, plus DE. Very little Oline help.

Behold... my new offensive line which has a very very strong chance of being crazy good (at least the interior does) and my running attack. Plus, I have a new H Back and TE. Cooper is immediately starting at LG, while Jones is given the chance to beat out Incognito for RG. Nixon is my RT, competing with John Jerry and whoever else (brain freeze here...)

One of those CBs should develop into a dependable boundary guy. Tried to grab Xavier Rhodes but he was grabbed RIGHT before my pick. Cooper was the backup plan. I got 2 2nd round guys in the 4 and 5. And either Cyprien or Swearinger will develop into the safety of the future. Carradine is hated for whatever reason but he'd immediately start, assuming he stayed healthy, so our secondary got a lot stronger in 1-2 years, our pass rush has improved, we've got back up plans to allow Starks/Soliai to walk, and I took a flier on a monster WR for the redzone. Oh and TE is secured.

Arthur Brown plays spot duty eventually challenging for the spot Koa Misi is sitting in.

Long story short this is like cheating. And now the draft is ruined because Im fully wanting Miami to move to #14 for a 2nd rounder.

My biggest problem to be honest was that they wouldn't let me draft guys like D.J. Hayden, Dennis Johnson, Marquess Wilson and Mark Harrison as early as I wanted to. I was BARELY able to get Mark Harrison, and he was only available for me to get on my final compensatory pick #250 overall. And they wouldn't let me draft Peter Lalich at all.

My only regret with all the trade downs was missing out on Devin Taylor. Getting Tank Carradine makes it stupid to regret that but I still like Taylor nonetheless and I took like 36 players so Taylor should be one of them.

To be honest, that protected me from myself.

I would have taken Stedman Bailey WAY sooner, for instance and missed out on additional high talent plus extra picks from trades.

Maybe the lesson is that we would have a better haul if we waited for some guys... Even if we missed one guy we liked.

Or why the Jack Doyle and Matt Scott love?? (that's not an attack on you, I just can't believe those guys get an A and Stedman is a D)

Confounding.

I suspect they go too much off measurables and Stedman is neither tall nor fast.

 

I don't think they like Scott or Doyle. I think they will give you an A grade in the 7th regardless of who you draft.

 

I will admit, trading down 100 times in the first only to grab eifert late in the first and then having like a million 2nd round picks is really fun .

 

How about trying to make it realistic? One trade down allowed..... but in the 3rd round when you're not given ridiculously excessive value?
Who can be the first to get straight A's? BTW, the Carradine hate is ridiculous. Can't even draft him if you're looking for a great score b/c he's almost always a B- even though he almost never lasts past the 2nd round.
