    I don't think that is enough of a reason they would go after Patterson instead of Austin though. They will go after the guy they think will make them the most successful.... I don't think they go after any WR's until round 2 myself...but that's just me.

    Have they drafted a single undersized WR in the entire time Ireland has been here?

    I think it matters more on who they feel is a better fit and will make them successful. If they believe that Austin is that one very special piece missing to their puzzle, then he's the guy...if he's still there. I don't personally believe he is. As I have stated, and will repeat, I think he is a gadget type player that, if we were one good dynamic player away, would be ideal. I don't think we are. For me, its a luxury pick..and we are not a team able to live on luxuries at this point.... JMHO

    Is BW Webb really a 3rd round talent? Last CB out of William & Mary drafted in the 3rd round was Derek Cox.
