Per USAToday, Goodell wants to put camera's inside the home teams locker room during the games. Don't know the details, but he wants to improve the stadium experience for the fans and improve the attendance at the games.

Maybe he needs to really think about why people don't go.

Should be the fan noise can effect the game more, but that would not be an easy "fix".

Well that and ticket prices moving upwards and no can hear you scream from a luxury box..

    Wait what?

    Live from the Internet.
I mean, we get a few *** shots a year on national television where they TRY to avoid that. Put cameras in the lockeroom? Yeah, good luck.

    Right concept, wrong locker room.
If a cam goes anywhere it better be in the cheerleader's. That would fill the stands before kickoff.

I think its actually a pretty cool idea. I love seeing those videos after games on the Dolphins website when they show the victory speeches and celebrations and stuff. I think that's all they really want to do this for. Just to show some behind the scenes type footage. Curious as to why just in the home team locker room though. I mean, that's the big attraction to Hard Knocks. All the behind the scenes footage you get of your team, that you never ever see. I think it would be cool to hear those pre-game speeches, halftime adjustments etc. Hopefully that's their angle with this.

It's not a big deal, the NHL already does this.

Put cameras in the offices of the staffs during the runups to FA and the draft...now THAT I would pay for....to hear Ireland and Philbin go head to head about whether to get a guy or not or Philbin saying "F$%$ it, pay the guy Jeff!" would be really fun to watch...

That would only require an owner having the vision to build into the spec, up til this point, noone has had that specific vision..

What would putting a camera in the locker room have to do with fans at the game and improving their experience?

    That is pretty tardtastic.

I think Ross has done plenty of things to try and improve gameday experiences for fans and will continue to do so.

    Pretty obvious, IMO.

You get an opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes of an NFL game. The coaches will choose (from my understanding) when the feed can go live so it'd likely be available when they aren't discussing gameplans. It would only raise the fan experience if properly monitored, IMO.

Look son, there is Ryan Tannehill putting his socks on. So glad we got that feed from the locker room. Gameday wasn't the same without seeing this. :wink2:

Maybe he has been seeing the Final Four tournament, like me, and loving the halftime views of the team locker rooms. I love seeing their inspirational speeches and the team being with each other at halftime. Would love to see the mood in our locker room at hafltime as ling as we were sure 1) that strategies wouldn;t leak and that 2) our players still felt free to be themselves... that's the biggest issue... they need a moment of provacy to let out their emotions without it being nationally televised.

I see it being cool for a home viewer who can hear what they're saying in the locker room, but at the game, there is no way you'll properly be able to hear what's going on. Not sure how that helps the fan at the game.

Only televised in the stadium, so technically its not subject to any FCC regs.

I think its quiet enough about 40 min before kickoff and during halftime. If the volume is loud enough, it should be audible.
