Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

Can we get a positive attribution to this rather than hearsay? I can't find an article anywhere that states Mike Dee said this.

 

I just thought About all us grown *** men, especially me, acting like a little excited girl about a logo and color scheme..lol

It's funny, that we're on a "debate thread" about a logo, yet we all love the same team.

?? Explain please. What is funny about it?? Are you suggesting that we are supposed to love it no matter what?? So if it were hot pink you would be all for it?? Just asking, as I do not understand the comment

 

Yes, for sure this isn't going to be close to the new uniforms. We have heard from all accounts that there will be blue in the stripes on the helmet and numbers. That will make a huge difference in making it come together.

 

The funny thing for me is that we finally have a logo that depicts a dolphin as the agile predator and half the fan base is still in love with the helmet wearing, short bus riding cartoon image.

 

What I meant was I won't be buying anything this year at the best. I hate the new logo and I just won't spend any money on anything that has that logo on it.

 

So what's your point?

We just need someone at Nike / Miami Dolphins to leak the uniform. MD said they would give us more to see each week. We'll it's been over a week sense they confirmed the logo.

These would be perfect if they would drop the logo from the sleeve and replace them with stripes

 

The two logos on the chest sound like overkill. Just the simple DOLPHINS on the chest looks sleek.

 

He didn't. It was Troy Drayton in an interview with the Finsiders and he reportedly said they "almost look futuristic". He also said the team would look fierce and that the uniforms were sweet. I'm not sure anyone said anything about them being "jaw dropping".

 

Ok, I guess this is where the "jaw dropping" part came from.

 

I like the logo, but i agree the uniforms definitely need a wow factor. so far it seems a lot more bland than i expected, doesn't mean i don't like them, but still.

I'm not sure what disappoints me more the tail being in the up position in the new logo or finding out the XBOX 720 is going to require an always online internet connection. The XBOX is the only place the Phins have had a success on my TV in quite awhile.

Holy crap is that true? I haven't been much of an Xbox guy for a while but I'll was likely going to grab a 720 the day it becomes available out of habit... now I'm not so sure. I use my office and tablet as my wireless for the most part... I prefer not to be too connected at home! Well ****!

 

Omg the new logo on the 59Fifty NewEra hat looks so dope. It's a white hat so its not my thing, but still looks clean. It's prolly already been talked about here, but just saw the post on Twitter... Can't link on my phone.

 

I can't find it... We should be getting more leaks on other gear stuff as well. Where are all the leaks??

 

BTW - that's the second leaked white hat. I'm not a baller like most of you rocking a white hat haha. Hoping they show other primary color hats soon!!

 

I don't believe its a 'leak' per se. its an older tweet from Volin either a few hours ago or yesterday, ICR. its a pic of the 59Fifty white NewEra phins one, and beneath it is a broncos one.

I'd like any color but white. lol

edit: usually at the draft they hand the draftees the aqua hat if im not mistaken? Volins tweet specifically was talking about the hat as a draft hat and how they arent available yet

That darker shade of aqua, or whatever it is, has me really intrigued. I say that because in JT's ColorWerx chart, that new color looks a lot lighter than the navy we were using as an accent color. But, it looks a little darker in the photo above. Now, that could just be the lighting, but I'm thinking (hoping) that this new color is on the darker side. I'm also hoping they incorporate that new color into the new uni's. Which would only make sense. I mean, why would they use it in the logo, and nowhere else? I'm thinking it will be used as an outline around the numbers (along with orange in all likelihood), as well as on the pants and helmet stripes. It might also be used as a band of color running down the sides of the jerseys, perhaps continuing onto the pants (similar to what Denver did when they changed their uniforms several years ago).

Yessir, I think the use or incorporation of this new color will be key to the overall look of the new uniforms. JMHO.

 

Sorry for the late reply, just saw this. I was just implying that it's interesting that people are arguing about something yet everybody agrees on liking the same team. That's nothing new of course, the thought just came to me at the time.

 

I think the color on the hat is the same one on the logo. Its lighter than the navy. Pictures can often distort the true colors pretty easily. The ColorWerx chart was pretty accurate IMO.

 

I wouldn't make too many decisions about the color based on that photo. The lighting is very poor in that pic and is in dire need of color correction. For example, get the whitest piece of clothing you have and hold up against the screen near the hat. You'll probably be shocked at how gray the hat looks.

 

No, I get that Stringer. That's why I said "now, that could just be the lighting..."

I guess what I'm trying to say is I hope the new color is on the darker side as it is incorporated into the new uniforms. That's all.

 

The logo looks sweet at that size on the hat. Hopefully we see the new font tied in w the logo soon.

 

Just for reference, I corrected just the white (not the other colors) on the hat photo.

I did it, just to illustrate how photos can give us the wrong impression of color. We all think we know what "white" looks like. The hat in that photo is clearly white...right? Actually no. Its gray.

 

That shifted the accent color (under belly on the dolphin) even a little darker.

I'm diggin' it more and more.

 

That corrected side looks hot as hell... i want that hat! where is that picture from?
