Ima YouTube nerd, I don't have access to any coaches tapes or am privy to any insider information. But the past couple months it's been extremely hard to ignore this mans PURE ability. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5BHOXRyDLuw (This video has explicit lyrics, muting the music and watching him is well worth it) He may have the best hands, he is physical, he plays like his jersey is on fire, he can go up and find the football. As a Dolphins fan he likely isn't in the cards considering his skillset is on the boundaries and we just invested 80+M on that. A Tavon Austin makes more sense for US, but I'm telling you right now don't be surprised if this kid (assuming he keeps his head) isn't by far the most productive WR in this draft. To me he looks every bit as good as Justin Blackmon did coming out. Just keep him far away from the AFC please, goto Minnesota or something.
He runs good routes like Bailey, but is also a great blocker and goes up and gets the jump ball. Keenan has very good WCO potential IMO, but isn't the game breaker Rogers is. Like Patterson he can stretch the defense and make the tough catch, but Da'rick can also break 2-3 tackles then take it to the house. I've watched every video available on a lot of these guys, and I see Rogers as the most complete. Too me he is the Dez Bryant, Julio Jones of this draft. Guess we will find out in a couple years.
I know it was only position drills at the combine but Rogers might have been the worst I have ever seen doing that drill in my life. The way he kept trying to adjust his hands was just brutal. Just not natural at all. Maybe 4th round or later.
He showed what he is capable of if he gets in a game. Bounced around the league this year, but has never been given a real on field shot. Today he did, and the results were impressive.
