I don't even wanna get into an arguement with Heat fans, who surely have already decided that this is a legitimate article and the Heat fans (and their storied franchise) are by far the loyalist fans on the planet.
oh..and I sensed your sarcasm at "storied franchise". If the Knicks are a "storied" franchise..then surely another franchise with MORE hardware should be one as well.
ah....the days when the Knicks were handed talent to keep a league above water in it's largest market..and they just "happen" to win a title. memories.
No man, you are 100% right. The Miami fanbase is as loyal as it gets. Just ask the Dolphins and Marlins. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Right, and why are the Heat garnering so much attention lately?? It took 3 All Stars deciding to play there to bring life to the franchise. Thats not loyalty. You lose Wade and those guys team up in Chicago for example??? Your the Orlando Magic. Again that's not loyalty that's called bandwagoning. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Bull****. The year the Heat won 15 games? 9th in total attendance with a 99.3 capacity. The Knicks that year? 10th.
So people in Miami are natural basketball die hards....oooooook. For the record I don't feel like the Heat fans in this thread are bandwagoners, but I'm not going to be convinced they havr the "loyalist" fans in the league. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
The only thing the bandwagonners did was sellout the standing room only and fill a waiting list. Thanks for that...I guess.
And why do you keep trying to insert the Knicks as an argument? I have no idea how loyal they are. I know I'm a Knicks fan and I'm loyal. Thats as far as that goes. Pains me too say but I'm willing too wager Boston and LA fans are the loyalist as a whole. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Miami best suited as a basketball town. Basketball is more popular internationally, and with urban people. It's a basketball town before anything else.
All I'm going to say is, lets see how loyal they are after they suffer 5 years of mediocrity. That's when loyalty is tested, not when you're constant winners. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Nope. Heat has better attendance than Boston as well for the last 16 years. LA beats them out though. and I bring up the Knicks because it's NEW YAWK. DA MECCA UV BASKUTBAWL.
If u got a problem with the "Mecca" talk, blame the best player in NBA history....he's the one that made the comment. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
A few more rings and keeps up at this rate, that could be a valid discussion. Unlike our current one. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Thank you. Any idea of time or if on ABC?? Ironically I'll be watching our game from Manhattan. - sent from my Android device via Tapatalk -
LA kinda proves the point a little. Super loyal to the Lakers, but they simultaneously let two NFL teams leave town 18 years ago. Little to no movement for an NFL franchise all the while. Very much like Miami, better suited for basketball IMHO. Plus it's nice being inside on Biscayne than sweating in the middle if nowhere. - sent from my Android device via Tapatalk -
Courtesy of theknicksblog: Also: Rasheed Wallace has officially retired. Foot wont heal so hes done. Earl Barron was signed today to replace Sheed. Also, this is imo, an interesting and accurate perspective on Carmelo's playoff "failures"...its a load of poop. http://theknicksblog.com/knicks/guest-post-melos-misleading-playoff-record/#more-44250
Not only did the Suns lose out on the 3rd best lotto chances, but they went from a potential late lotto pick to the 30th pick in about a week. Sucks for them.
Couldn't agree more, anything less than a trip to the ECF vs Miami is a failed season. While it would surely suck, the big picture is losing to the Heat in that setting is nothing to be ashamed of and you couldn't really complain about the 12-13 season. Knicks get there and take it to 6?? And it's been a great season.
Could set us up for a good off season in terms of some player moves. Could be interesting to see where CP3 wants to be if LAC gets bounced early again.
