Need Help.....

Elite has more gigs according to my friend.

 

it just has a bigger HD and is unmoddable. and it's black. No major difference really.

 

They also seem pretty reliable. I have had one for over a year now no issues, runs great. The big HD is nice, but aside from that its more bragging rights than anything
Think maybe it comes with a few more accessories (headset and such) but not 100% sure on that. Been awhile since I got mine.

 

Yea the price difference is mainly the Hard drive space- regular one is( 20 gig) elite is (120 gigs) so the Elite gives you 100 more gigs to work with. I myself get bye on 20 gigs and I play all the time. Just depends if he will be downloading movies and original xbox games off of xbox live (which I don't do)

 

Elite has HDMI hookup as well. Not sure if the new standard 360's have that yet or not.

I'm furious that my old Xbox360 doesn't have HDMI input. It makes a huge difference. Because of this, I buy games for my PS3 now. To hell with Xbox. Until Gears 2 anyway...

So yeah, I am pretty sure that at this point you picked up one with a Falcon MB given that its been out for a few months now...

Easiest way to tell is if your power supply is 175W your good...

I hope you got the package deal that comes with Forza & Marvel Alliance (as thats the newest models right now of the ELITE)...

If you want to check out certain tech specs (like what kind of DVD-Rom or whatnot) check that XBOX Live thread as it has alot of answers.

I guess to start off...is the router set to 'enable' wireless SSID broadcasts?

 

it should be backwards compatible to g and b....not sure if you need to set something for that...

 

OK...

I dont really think that makes a difference as an N router should be advanced enough that it can work with older networks.

How about your security? Are you using any (WEP or WPA)? Try disabling your routers security and try conecting then and see if without security it works.

Also, can your 360 see your networks SSID? How far down the line does it get when you try and set up your network connection? Where does it fail?

 

not sure how it works for the 360 but on computers if you are using security you will need to input the key........
