I believe the Vikings hold the 23/25 picks, what about possibly trading both 2s and 3s for both those picks (maybe some late round picks from Minnesota)? Could walk away with any combo of 3 of these guys; Eifert, Trufant, Cooper, Austin, Warmack, Ertz, Teo, Vaccaro, etc. Very aggressive move, and pretty unlikely, but id love it. Not sure how the pick values match up, but it seems they would be pretty close.

That value doesn't really add up unfortunately. We'd have to give up more...

If i got this right, it comes out to 1480-1225. Close, but no cigar. Would probably need to switch out the 3rd rounders for the 12th overall, which i dont like.

After looking up the values, its definitely a Madden trade. My god, did i take advantage of that game. Had picks 1-5+ quite a few times.

I'd rather work out a trade where we move down with the Vikings and the Fins get 23 and 25 and the Vikings get #12 and probably something else. But that's just me.

Vikings wouldn't trade both firsts. They have too many holes to afford to do that.

I would rather the Dolphins trade up to get a better player or stay at 12, Trading out of the top half of the draft into the latter part of the first round has NEVER benefited the Dolphins. They have always lost out on much better talent than they ended up drafting, when they have moved down in the first round. I think they will probably get comparable talent in the second round to players they would get with your proposed trade.

I do not agree. There is no one worth trading up for.

I dont think that there's a scenerio where we come away with both of the Viking's first rounders, but they're a very appealing trade down partner non the less. Trade down to 22 and pick up their second rounder? Works for me. Three second round picks in this draft is gold.

This is what I would prefer - by a mile. We'd have to give up another pick (could probably get away with a 4th) or swap picks in another round. But, that could bring a great deal of value for us (especially with the players in the 20-40 range appearing to be ranked pretty tightly and with that as the strength of the draft along with the Dolphins having so many needs).

Trading down, when loosely basing it on the draft value chart, is always more valuable than trading up. Trading up is ridiculous for one or two players.

And this would be especially valuable (trading down from 12 for 23 & 25, etc.) if Miami trades away a 2nd rounder to KC.

The Dolphins need multiple positions. They need those picks.

I just don't think Ireland has proven to value draft picks as he should. We'll see what happens on Thursday & Friday but I have some doubts heading into the draft.

In a year where there is maybe 6 guys that are considered elite, and most picks in the first round are not seperated by much, I disagree. Trading down to the lower part of the round is not likely to mean you get a different player at 25 than 12.

  13. So you figure the viks are going to the draft party to see how good they can make OUR draft??

You figure a team with two first round picks are going to find a way to get rid of both of them without moving up?? I mean REALLY ?? Any trade we make with the viks will include our 1st at 12. Anything other than that and you are still playing Madden.:smackhead:
