Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

My Problem: Black?

JUST Aqua and Orange. was that too much to ask? I guess it was. Font is boring as all hell too. Unimaginative.

I'll still buy gear. but ...I think if THIS is it, they failed in their mission of updating the uniforms. There are no new elements whatsoever, and there are NO nods to our origins as well. A rather poor effort.

 

and I'm fine with that..clean and classy is all I care about..I can actually rock those colors..and the dolphin is more parralel.

 

There are 5 stripes on the pants:

Orange - Dark blue - Aqua - Dark blue - Orange

 

The all white uniforms look best!!

Would like to see more orange on the uniforms, possible green pants and maybe strip socks too.
The orange strip on the outside on the helmet / numbers n pants isn't very visible... poor designing if you ask me.

Except you're missing the black outlines.

 

I feel it's an improvement, but IMO they fell short of maximizing that improvement. Would prefer a more prominent, traditional orange border on the numbers and perhaps give the shoulders some striping or possibly replace the logo with striping b/c as it stands we look like too similar to Jax IMO. Not sure I understand the thinking behind underusing one of our two team colors, orange.

Love the clean/plain look, the only way these would be perfect would be stripes on the sleeves instead of the logo. But I am pleased with these nonetheless.

 

That Jacksonville uni is HORRIBLE.

the orientation of the logo is different on the new helmet n uniforms.

According to everything we have seen on new logo the dolphins been pointing a little higher.
Website n draft hats are all wrong or the new photos of the uniform is incorrect by NIKE

that logo is incorrect. At first I didnt really see it, but comparing with the logo on the team page, someone is wrong. It is mainly noticeable in the tail. Hmmm.

 

that's like saying that you are ecstatic with having crabs, because it's not aids or herpes.

 

The bottom right side of the "5" on the jersey is angled straight . The bottom left side of the "5" is rounded off. Looks strange to me.

 

the saving grace. The Helmet looks GREAT. I love the orientation of the logo as well, and the face mask puts it over the top.

The uni...not a fan.

 

I love the new helmet, but I think the jersey is a bit underwhelming. I think they could have done more. The shoulder stripes on the new Vikings uniforms would've been a nice touch as opposed to the logo on the shoulder, just my opinion.

sums up my thoughts. Really wish orange was more prominent. And I wish the orange was darker... but overall its a step up. now if we could just get rid of the logo...

There is orange in the outline on the numbers Todd, and either black or dark navy..

Very Miami colors, big improvement over that green pants puke color clutter crap we've have been wearing..

Love the thick strip down the middle of the helmet, especially on the all whites baby..

I'm happy as hell..

 

Helmet looks nice, but the unis - for all the hype that we'd be "blown away" - are plain and don't have enough orange.

Simplicity/emptiness is a design element. It seems like they went for simplicity.

 

the chest on the jerseys are boring, too much dead space...

Option 1 -
would of looked a lot better w the logo over the heart n the Nike swoosh on the other side, Stripes on the sleeves!!!
Option 2 -
Nike adding some type of wow factor outlined / design element.

- overall its a simple design... kinda boring

- on a side note the HELMET IS $$$$$$$

 

now i like the minimalistic look they chose, and really, I prefer that the orange is an accent color now instead of a prominent color. the aqua on blue to me looks great.

 

Count me in on the "not enough orange" team, but overall, I like.

 

Hey MODS, move this please. We already have a thread with a million views and replies that this should be merged with. Thanks for your hard work and staying on top of these things.

 

Here ya go...the design elements:

Sleeve Logo= Same
Pad Number= Same
Font= Same
Pit design=Same
Font outline= change to inline outline.

Pants:

Stripe Design = Same
Stripe scheme = Change to the scheme from the 70's

Socks:

Stripes = No
Alternate= No
One Sock scheme= Yes (solid)

There are damn near NO element changes in design. NONE. Just color and tweaks.
