Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

That's the part that doesn't look right to me.

 

All whites (similar to the heat or the Oregon Stormtrooper) is what I'm hoping for.

 

I guess it's just a matter of taste Pagan, I love that part, especially how it plays with the white face mask..

 

For the love of everything that is sacred...IT'S NOT BLACK!!!!

 

I hope not, but Crazy is saying 100% its black. He has been 100% right in everything he said, up to now. I don't see a reason to doubt him now.

 

Whats that based on? Looking at pictures, it can very likely look black. I think we need to wait until we get higher quality photos. IMO its going to end up being the dark blue, and there will be orange on the helmet stripes.

 

Word!!! Old logo and all, I'd take them over the new stuff everyday of the week and I kind of like the new stuff but nothing compares to the 70's Dolphins gear

 

But I think we got our version if the storm trooper look ( I saw a pic of the ducks in that uni comin out of the tunnel...so wicked cool). The canes all white is badass too.

I'm satisfied with these two new unis, I've been talking about changing our unis for 6 years now, so I'm stoked..Now I would like to satisfy some that still crave that old school thing, I think it would be a real smart business move to go old school on their asses..be diverse, why not, get the best of both worlds..

There's an interesting aspect to this post. There have been a few reports that there will be an unveiling of an alternate jersey tomorrow night also. If that's indeed true, why didn't it make the Nike photo shoot? The Jaguars alternate jersey is there.

I suppose there is the possibility that if the Dolphins decided to drop the dark outline for a cleaner look, then perhaps this isn't the final version. Seeing as there may be an alternate jersey, Nike probably would have had to do a re-shoot to capture it, and perhaps the "cleaner" versions as well. That would jibe with what JT's source said some pages back.

 

I don't think its a rumor. I heard Marino hint to it the other day.

That's why I think the current leak by the Jags was kind of planned so we could get a glimpse of it and thinks its over. Then come draft day the real surprise comes.

I think it's in Dolphins fans best interest to have the vote play out like Stringer suggested. That a lot of people won't show. That's our best chance imo

 

Yea, I've had Thursday-Tuesday (don't work weekends) requested off for months. Wife's going out of town first thing Thursday morning too.

 

Why do executives continue to make dumb decisions and lack vision, or understand what the public really wants..

How can they not appease the old school crowd and honor the tradition, they have a chance to really please everyone..and their gonna drop the ball?

To be fair to my wife, she'd rather be watching the draft than attending the wedding (and all its associated festivities) she is going to.

Wow, navy blue is really part of the big three..really prominent, may be that alternative uni look as well..

 

I'm a bit confused, so for sure we're getting a third uniform???

 

One thing about us introducing an alt is how it fits into our pattern of wearing white at day and color at night. If they are indeed bringing out a 1970's throwback, do they go with the the aqua or the white? Remember they can only have have one.

 

I just read on MD.com that five more current players will join Ryan and Wake in wearing the new uniforms.
That will make it a total of 7 players, they must have a third option uniform based on having that many players showing up sporting the new digs.

Here's to hoping!!!!

 

That many players might also mean there will be mix and match combinations on pants. Perhaps the aqua pants are here after all.

IMO they should have kept the center stripe orange on the helmet. I mean you want to talk about tradition that has been there since day one. That stripe setup is what made the helmet and made me think miami dolphins.

They look like practice uni's.

 

So maybe this 3rd uniform is the "jaw dropping" aspect Dee was talking about.

Haters can hate all they want. Nothing you can do about it. Accept it or move on because the new logo is here to stay.

In other words, grow up and stop complaining because it isn't going to change a damn thing.



BTW...I think it looks great on the field and will look even better with the stadium revisions in a couple of years.

According to Salguero, there will only be two uniforms this season. No alternate but we all know that could end up being BS.

I'd dig it if they went total old school with an alternate but I also think they might not want to mix that in in the first year of a logo change.

 

Again I guess this is just one of those opinion things. I was more concerned with them getting rid of the thin stripes than I was getting rid of the helmet on the dolphin. I love the wider stripe, and the colors.

 

well, that's what I'm saying OZ...dumb...give the fans what they want, stay in tune with what they want..an old school alternate on the year of our anniversary and sh&$, all the tradition stuff we and our new coach preach about, the money that could be made from a retro old school throwback..sheeeeeee$
