The day most of us have been waiting for since the season ended! I haven't been this excited about a draft in a very long time. So I will make this simple. Post two or three "gifts" that you would love to fall into Santa Ireland's lap to bring you in tonight's first round and two or three "coals" that would ruin your Christmas/Draft night. Easy enough? I'll begin.

    Gifts
    Tyler Eifert
    DJ Hayden or
    Dion Jordan

    Coals
    Chance Warmack
    Lane Johnson or
    DJ Fluker

Raul, you of all people should know that Christmas falls in the Winter, not the early Summer :shifty:

I have made up my mind. I'm set in stone. And that sucks because I set myself up for disappointment.

Get the deal done for Albert.

At pick number 12, the Miami Dolphins select Tyler Eifert, tight end, Notre Dame.

Will get killed for this: Jonathan Cooper
Going against my instinct but can't resist an exciting offense for once in forever years: Tavon Austin

Not going to be happy: Any player linked to an injury ( I know, I know...)

Dee Milliner: so many intruiging DBs later on.
Jarvis Jones: think I might cry.
Barkevious Mingo: cry an upchuck simultaneously. Not that he'll get passed the jets *unless* 80% of the world is wrong.

Steal of the draft: Ezekiel Ansah falls to us.
Must trade down: No Albert. No top 3 falling. Gotta hope for a deal to trade back within Fluker's grasp.

I could be happy with.... I discounted the obvious top 10 or so...(2 of the three LTs, Cooper, Warmack, Jordan, Milliner, Ansah, Floyd, etc) as I don't think they move up in this draft. I think moving up costs too many picks and Irish has to make some kind of a splash or at least a very solid draft...

Eiffert, Johnson (if Albert doesn't get done), DJ Hayden (personal favorite), Star Lotulelei, Rhodes (although I think he's a second choice at CB for the Fins), Vacarro (even tho that might be a bit high for him).

I would be disappointed with Austin, Milliner, Patterson, Allen, DJ Fluker (at 12, if we trade down, that's different, assumes again that Albert doesn't get done), Werner, Ansah, Richardson, Jones, Ogletree...

My ideal is that they can trade back to Dallas and pick up an extra 2nd pick...(not likely but ideal) and still get Vaccarro, Hayden or Eiffert...

You'd be disappointed by Ansah? Brother, get on YouTube like 5 minutes ago.

I am not talking draft today, I cant set myself up for suicide.....I am going dark on this subject.....

All I am going to say is skill players make plays that win you the game when it matters most.....

I pray Irish does the right thing....

Really hoping we get one of those awesome toys we have always wanted, and not a box full of clothes. That always ruins Christmas.

    At 12:

We got the Red Ryder BB Gun Happy (and promise not to shoot our eye out):

    1) Tavon Austin
    2) Tyler Eifert

Satisfied (Okay, yeah, he's a great player who will be there for 10 years):

    - Cooper
    - Warmack
    - Star
    - Watson
(but really, this should only happen in a trade down)

    Meh (I guess I can stomach this but ... well ... I don't know):

    - Dion Jordan
    - Ansah
    - Fluker
    - Sylvester Williams
    - Richardson
    - Jarvis Jones
    - Werner

    Crying in my ale:

    - Vaccaro
    - Any CB
(except maybe Hayden but only want that in a trade down)

Trading Up from 12 will make me unhappy if we give up a 2nd round pick. Trading up will be a bit dissatisfying if it's for anything other than Austin.

Though I love this day, I have a feeling I won't be getting the gun.

It might not feel like summer where you are, but I can assure you, the summer weather hit South Florida a couple of weeks ago. We only have two seasons here. Winter, when it is mild and most days get into the 70's or low 80's. The rest of the year it is hot and humid. While it may show on the calendar that it is spring or fall, we here in South Florida know better.
