He would take this offense to another level and be a huge safety net for Tannehills career.

Mike Wallace opens up this offense with his vertical threat

    Hartline

Pick up a speedy slot guy

    Eifert

    Miller in the backfield

    Big time offensive potential!!!

If we do not grab Eifert, the Jets will grab him at 13.

FWIW, Several mocks have the Jets taking him with their first pick, not their 2nd.

dont think eifert is the godsend hes being marketed as. But wouldnt be upset with this pick at 12. Adds the most important factor lacking from our offense. Red zone threat

I'd be happy if we got Lotulelei and moved up to grab Jarvis Jones. That would be killer draft imo.

He is our guy as long as the Jets don't take him first.

Jets very well could go Eifert, Rhodes in the first round.

Not my first choice, but I wouldn't be upset with Eifert.

Well it looks like we are balking at KC's asking prince, so I am guessing its big fat boy time in the draft once again. This will be Ireland's 4th lineman (Long, Odrick, Pouncey and tonight's x-man) out of 6 first round picks, and the 3rd out of 6 on the OLine and it will still be one of the weakest parts of the team. That's just unacceptable.

Boy, opinions vary with who Miami needs and needs to pick in the first round. TE, OT, WR, DE, CB, DT, pretty much anything but QB and RB. Ireland will probably get slammed by some no matter who he picks.

Yeah, while it is an impossible thing to expect out of people, I think everyone needs to keep in mind that the Dolphins will not be able to address every hole they have in this draft. There is bound to be disappointment.

Well frankly he should. He's had 5 drafts and 6 free agency periods and still has but 1 winning season. You can support him, if you wish, but he can't run away from that record, which is one of the worst in the past 5½ years. Most teams don't take 5 years to rebuild. San Francisco did it in 3 and has been to the Super Bowl and two straight NFC Championships ; Washington and Indianapolis have both been the dregs one year and made the playoffs the next year. But there is Miami, still mired in 7-9, 6-10 NFL HELL.

Ireland should count himself lucky. Most GM's would have been fired by now, but somehow he's managed to get Ross to target everyone else and not his poor performance.

There's nothing to run away from. The view that you have is not just simplistic its ridiculous.

Lane Johnson aside (because I don't think we have a snow ball's chance in hell of getting him, unless we move up to like #2-#3), then Eifert is who I would most like to see us get in the first round.

Keep in mind though, if this is what I want...it will not happen.

    Sorry folks.

This is the view of many Dolphin fans. Ross is the owner of the team and he has chosen to go with Ireland as the man responsible for selecting talent for his team. Like it or not, we are stuck with Ireland at this time. Hopefully he will do a much better job in this years draft then he has done in his previous five drafts with the Dolphins.

The general view is that he has upgraded the overall talent on the team with his moves in free agency. This has yet to be shown on the field, but we can only hope this is true. I have been as anti-Ireland as anyone on this forum. I still am not a big fan, but he is all we have right now when it comes to making the final decisions on players selected in the draft or signed in free agency. So I hope the players he signed in free agency are the upgrades they are expected to be. Also I hope that he selects several players in this years draft who can come in and be immediate contributors for this team.

I feel it is a do or die year for Ireland as the Dolphins GM. The Dolphins either have a winning record and make the playoffs this coming season or Ross should be looking to hire a new GM. As a Dolphin fan, I hope Ireland proves me wrong in regards to my many statements that he is an inept NFL GM.

If you want to put the finishing touches on PLAYMAKERS for this offseason, the pick most certainly has to be Eifert. I know Tavon Austin is considered the best playmaker in the draft, however Eifert is the best playmaker for us. A huge bodied redzone threat with good seam speed and vacuum hands. Mismatches in the slot agaisnt slower, shorter linebackers and safties. Need I go on?

If you go by history and the way Ireland views positions then all you're doing is setting yourself up for disappointment with Eifert. Ireland has refused to draft a te early in the draft. Same goes for Wr. 3rd round has been the highest he's used on either position. If the fins go eifert or Austin its a clear sign that Philbin has just as much if not more say than Ireland. After this off-season, I'm not so sure that's not already clear so eifert is possible. I just have a hard time seeing it.

How would you know how Ireland views what position? You have literally no information that points to a single tendency?
