    This absolutely SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Philbin sure as hell better turn this thing around quickly or I will applaud when they trade him away for a swap of picks.

I'm already dreading what else happens.

    This SUCKS!!!!!!!!

So to recap Ireland replaced a valuable, talented slot WR with the 3rd best WR from a very poor St. Louis receiving corps, and then gave that talented slot WR away for nothing to a team Miami has to play in week 1. Yeah...killing it...

I do wonder why the guy couldn't at least be traded to a NFC team given how little was gained.

I am at the draft tonight. They announced the Bess trade as a 4th round swap, plus a 5th from Cleveland. Has anyone found confirmation?

Define overrated? To me Bess moved the chains and was a decent underneath slot WR. Is that overrated to what pick we aquired for him? Nope. Gibson any better on paper? Nope. I never overrated Bess. I just appreciated the work he put in.

It's official: Dolphins gave up 111, 217 and Bess for 104 and 164. They now have three picks in the 5th round (146, 164, 166)

We actually set ourseles up really well to make an informed trade up for the guy(s) we want in the top of the 4th. Solid players WILL slip through the cracks.

Damn I hate to see him go. Wes Welker part 2? That remains to be seen. If he goes to Cleveland and has a hell of a year it's going to hurt but I will always root for Bess no matter and he went to my second favorite team and a team that a big part of my family follows with passion so it's not like i'll forget him. I hope he tears it up in Cleveland. Weeden will get the ball to him.

Moving up in the 4th and getting a 5th isn't nothing. We got more than what some other players went for who you could argue are better.

Class act, don't blame him for not playing hurt if there was a solid possibility of long term injury, Ireland will get you out of here q-u-i-c-k, playing injured or not.

I wish him nothing but success starting week 2.

Wasn't sure where to put this so I am just going to add it here:

    Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP 1m

#Dolphins have $10.4 million in cap space after trading Bess, and will pick up another $10 million after June 1. Plenty of $$$ to add an OT

we got to move up in the draft, and cleared a lot of cap space, for a guy who would have been gone next year anyway. Good job! And I am a Bess fan! I wish him the best! but he was not in or plans

Liked Bess a lot, but we got almost as much for him as the Ravens got for all-pro Anquan Boldin. Tough market, we cut cap, and replaced him with more production. Kudos Irish.

Is it way too early to speculate on June 1st cuts? I could be way off, but it seems like the FO almost kept money back to spend at that point. Are there going to be any WR / LTs that break free?

You can now cut people before June 1st and call them a June 1st cut. That is what Miami did with Dansby and Burnett.

The FO kept money, but I don't think you'll see much spending. They'll sign a tackle, maybe two, but the rest is going toward the bottom-line.
