Another linebacker..... I guess Misi is gone soon, which I'm okay with because Misi always reminds me of Gronkowski. And I say another linebacker because I believe Dion will be our starting OLB. Such an unnecessary pick.
JELANI JENKINS! Overall Strengths: 1. Extremely reliable as a tackler 2. Great in both man and zone pass coverages 3. Diagnoses plays and has excellent leadership skills Overall Weaknesses 1. Has trouble getting off blocks 2. Needs to improve hand usage 3. Pass rush is only effective with open lanes to the passer Draft Projection He should be taken from the end of the second round to early fourth round.
Ah, a cover Lb..I'm cool with it... Have to counter the Te's folks, this is reality...and he can run... 6'0 tall...dig a hole for the old template folks
I've wanted Swope through this whole process but if we don't take him with one of two 4th rounders then its pretty obvious both Sherman and Tannehill weren't in love with him, which is evidence enough for me to move on.
If this wasn't such a deep defensive position draft he (Jenkins) would have gone a hell of a lot higher. This is a great pick for us.
Ben Volin @BenVolinPBP 15s With the 106th pick (4th round) the #Dolphins draft Michigan State TE Dion Sims
There we go, Dion Sims, makes a ton of sense for us Lost Fasano, need a road grader type Te, thought he is a bit overdrafted here, but can live with it as he makes sense
Would have much preferred to get Michael Williams as our inline blocking TE in the 6th round and seen us use this pick on a WR or OT. Pleased with the Jelani Jenkins pick though.
