Well i wouldn't be expecting any trade ups soon. No more ammo from this draft. Maybe up a few spots in the 5th using a 7 but thats about it. Hope someone good falls!
I'm enjoying this draft, thought Davis was a hiccup, but not only are we young, we are fast now as well, perhaps they realized you won't out coach the Pats, you have to have more physical talent. IE..speed/explosiveness
Did you see the thighs on that Big boy in the highlights he looks like a freight train gotta love it.
Schef and mort were praising the dolphins choices in the offseason/draft to acquire speed speed speed .... especially on defense. and were saying surrounding tanny with all the things we have done was a very smart move. They also really liked the TE pick and said Tanny would love him
I agree with Mayock concerning the LT position. I think that right now, the Dolphins really don't have a LT on the roster who I feel comfortable with protecting Tannehill's blind side. It really doesn't matter that the Dolphins may have upgraded the WR position, if Tannehill doesn't have the time in the pocket to find his receivers. I still think that Johnson would have been a better pick with the third pick in the draft. Since it is obvious the Dolphins aren't going to find a quality LT in this draft, they should just offer the Chiefs their 2nd round round pick in the 2014 draft and pray the Chiefs will take this pick for Albert.
Looks so big it seems as though he'd be too much of a caveman to be able to catch a football. Love the size. Love the dynamic with Keller. Just a whole lotta love ova here.
Wadr I think youre nuts. I guarantee they are not even slightly done with their plans at OT and didn't like who was there. I didn't. After how this offseason has been panning out, I'm going to trust their decisions.
Webb gone; thought he would have made more sense than Davis, Poyer still there if we want to make a move for another CB though.
LT? LT?! Semantics. Did you see the TE we just drafted. He can play both. Makes no sense to worry right this moment. Not much we can do right now. Hope that Dallas is more like Los Anngeles when it comes to stars. Enjoy the draft.
Its one thing to be critical of the team, that I get, I can live with that. But I cant stand non-stop *****ing. Change your tampon already.
Dang I completely forgot about Landry Jones, I think he's a very good value pick in the fourth round.
Two themes emerging: -Ignoring Swopes' concussions -Phrase "I don't feel comfortable with so and so at LT" That second one kills me, what is this a counseling session? "But how does that make you feel? We had a #1 overall pick at LT and it did not pan out, are you having anxiety issues"?
Don't know much about Dallas Thomas prior to us picking him. But after everything I've read and seen I absolutely love this draft. Only pick I haven't liked was Jenkins. I think that's a bad pick. Love the rest though. A lot of good talent added to this roster.
I've been saying it for years. I think Jones is out of the league in a few years. Don't like him at all.
They didn't have four on game days. Egnew spent game days in civilian clothes and not in uniform for the majority of the season. He was only activated late in the season because of injuries to other TE's on the team. Not because he was really ready to contribute to the team as a TE. I admit I am not a fan of Egnew and Clay really hasn't developed to the degree it was thought he would when he was drafted. Perhaps Egnew will show vast improvement during the preseason and Clay will start to show signs of becoming the player he was projected to be when they drafted him. I am just not holding my breath waiting on these developments. I still think one of these two players will not be a member of the Dolphins this season.
That's pretty funny. And that therapy sesh did not warrant the left over tackles at 12 overall. Or even 3.
Exactly...funny thing is that people have the wrong idea, the old days of "DE vs LT in base defense" Is just about over, now it is multiple fronts, flopping De's, A Gap Blitzes etc, no need to sink huge resources into the left tackle any more.
I think Clay's biggest competition is Lane. If Clay improves his blocking, I think he makes the team as a fullback. We will see. Packers generally have five tight ends on the roster. Having four is most likely the number the Dolphins will keep. Egnew, Clay, Sims and Keller.
