The advisory board doesn't give out a "late 1st/early 2nd" grade. They do give out a "as high as the 2nd round" grade which does not imply that the player will actually get drafted in the 2nd round. It implies that the 2nd round is the maximum ceiling that player can hope for.

I know we are in the surplus at DE but I wouldn't pass up on:

Alex Okafor = 54 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 16.5 tackles for a loss, four forced fumbles

    Other wants in the 4th:

    OL utility player, Barrett Jones
    OT, David Bakhtiari
    FS, Philip Thomas
    DT, Jessie Williams

Would absolutely love Alex Okafor in the 4th, to me he's the steal at this stage and could actually start at RDE for us. He's big with room to add more muscle, plays the run really well which is needed from the guy opposite Wake and can get after the quarterback. I think i saw a stat where he got a pressure, hit or sack one in every 6 plays he rushed which seems ridiculous.

On the other side of the ball i'd rather have Patton then Swope, he's got a higher ceiling with the ability to play inside and outside and there are rumors that Swope has real concussion problems.

Wouldn't mind Jesse Williams the NT or Jordan Poyer the Cb despite yesterday's baffling move for Davis.

A 4th round of Okafor, Patton/Swope and Taylor would be nice.

A player I really like too, wouldn't mind at all if we picked him up in the 5th round.

I'm on the Poyer wagon with you. We're very week at CB. You up the odds of finding the guy. For all anyone knows, Poyer goes into training camp and becomes the starter. Wouldn't be mad with Poyer pick at all. We're desperate for a starter for years to come. Up the odds if its the best guy on the board and forget the positions that have already been drafted.

    Patton or Swope.

    Lattimore or Taylor.

Any combination of those 4 would be awesome. I also like Alex Okafor and am quite surprised he's still on the board, but where would be fit?

If we'd have had a decent CB core last year we could have had a top ten defense the play was that bad in my opinion, when you consider that we've added Jordan to help the rush finding the corners has to be a priority.

I like the Grimes pick up but he's not getting younger and is coming off a big injury so we don't know how he'll play, Taylor i like and should see playing time and to be honest i'm baffled by the Davis pick up. Poyer would help convince me about the position, i know people don't want to think about the cap and money but Patterson and Marshall are both well overpaid and fairly useless; if we hit on a couple of rookies we can get rid of them and add a difference maker somewhere else.

Edit: I'd also like a kicker at some stage and i'm a fan of Reid Fragel

A lot of talent still OTB. Shame we traded to come back into round #3. Having three 4th rounders would've been sweet.

I really want Swope, but am beginning to wonder if a WR is even on our board? Franklin and Patton also have to be looking good to teams right now. If we get two out those three, I will be very happy.

i like Quessenberry (even though we took Thomas) and Fragel ... have Patton @ WR as well as the much talked about Swope, and lots of RBs ... but agree that we won't likely keep all the 4/5 picks this year. be nice to move one of each for a 3/4 next year.

can also take a flier on a guy like Kasa at TE ....

Everyone just get this through your heads....we wouldn't draft Swopes if he was the last slot receiver on earth! We will not draft him Evar! We are set at wr. We won't even sign him as an ufa...

    Got it???

Been out of the loop with real life, but curious what caused the Jesse Williams DT Alabama slide? Honestly thought we would be looking at him with one of our two 3Rs considering Soliai and Starks will be FAs...

Swope is dropping due to 4 concussions.

Concussions are a big liability concern for the NFL right now.

Here is what we should do in round five.....take a Kicker....Caleb Sturgis or Dustin Hopkins...waive Carpenter and his $3 million.

Is Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor still on the board, or Kenny Stills, Oklahoma? How about T.J. McDonald, S, USC ??

Well I hope Rishard Matthews is the real deal cause we don't have a single red zone threat from our receiving corps. Not one. Not even Wallace.
