Watch two plays..1.50... And 2.22.. Watch the explosiveness to get back in coverage..

He has the equivilant of a jump cut by a great running back...he can cover an 8 foot radius with one movement, he usually does it when playing the run, getting off the block and protecting the flat.

Thing is, I hope they don't take his spin move away from him as it is not a really fundamental move.

Wake once mentioned he despised the swim move b/c you can get coackroached, hopefully they let him keep his spin.

This is PROBABLY something people already know...but perhaps it's a good reminder.

Every one of Dion Jordan's 5.0 sacks came before he suffered his shoulder injury toward the beginning of the Colorado game. To that point he had 5.0 sacks, 7.0 TFLs, 2 forced fumbles and 29 tackles in 7 games. After the injury, he had 0.0 sacks, 3.0 TFLs, 1 forced fumble and 11 tackles in 4 games. The surgery he needed was for a torn rotator cuff.

That's the thing if you get caught up watching the Stanford, USC, Oregon State or Kansas State games. If you're seeing something missing from his game in those films, there's probably a reason. Probably should look more to the Fresno State, Arizona State, Washington State, Arizona and Washington games for good footage on him.

I will say I have noticed that Oregon used him a little bit differently post-injury than pre-injury especially in pass rush. I think they were trying to protect the shoulder.

    Has there been anything reported that Oregon didn't want Jordan gaining a lot of weight b/c of the role of the position he played? {b/c he went from playing in the 220's to his current 250 fairly easily it seems}

The play where he tackled Step Taylor by the wrist band was pretty cool. Also, one may notice #46 making some plays in that video too. That's Clay, whom we signed as a UDFA.

IMO, he does not need to gain a lot or really any significant weight. Just get the shoulder healed and gain back the strength in his upper body. Seems a lot of people equate gaining weight with getting stronger, and even if it is all muscle that does not make it necessarily so. Two people can have the same build and the same amount of lean muscle mass, and one of them be noticeably stronger.

Love that pre combine footage, you can see what an incredible athlete this specimen is, the mma training with glazer, the body is just elite elite.

Yeah he seems like a really good guy, the way he described his definition of success. Really has his head on straight and knows what it takes to be great, I'm so damn excited to watch this dude.

The complete defensive weapon, unlike any other player in the NFL.

I'm stoked to see Dion Jordan play. For me, there's such a difference watching different guys play, especially from an offensive to a defensive standpoint.

Last year, we drafted Tannehill, a QB, first, and I was just as excited to see him play. However, watching a quarterback is a bit more of a cerebral pursuit. Is he reading the field well? Is he throwing the ball with accuracy? Did he hit the receiver in stride for RAC yards? Did he sidestep the rush in the pocket?

This year, we've taken Dion Jordan at the # 3 pick. Conversely to watching a QB play, watching a DE/OLB-type play elicits a much more primal response out of me.

i.e. Did he take the quarterback's head off?

(in my best Dan Bejar voice) Sounds fun!!!

I'm really stoked to see Dion Jordan play. Anxious to see how they use him, excited to see how effective he'll be. Somewhat excited to see how Mike Gilislee plays.

I just wish I could say the same about any of the other players in this draft.

I'm excited to watch Jordan, Taylor and Sims. Think those 3 can be very good.

I'm hoping we get a few instances of Sims catching the ball and bowling over some defenders.

I'm interested about how the 260 pound Sims looks b/c I remember thinking to myself during the season that he could be quite intriguing if he dropped about 20 pounds b/c 280'ish seems to be bogging him down a smidge.

but they did give up value for Jordan, so the onus is on them to make that pick become a success- Kiper

Mel Kiper has no idea what hes talking about.

We only gave up 1 or 2 2nd round picks we had to move up 9 spots.
