Burned within a mile of my house here in Newbury Park. Fortunately we were never in any imminent danger unlike the folks in Dos Vientos. Very lucky no structures were lost in 98 degree temps, with 2 % humidity and 40 to 50 mph wind gusts. Firefighters, as usual, did an amazing job. I only took a few shots with my cell phone. My wife of course got as close as she could to the fire and has much better pics than I. This was before... about an hour after the fire broke out near the freeway. Nice brown hillside for the summer months. This is during the afternoon. Firehawk landed at our park.
