Did it as a coach as well. Not the VP of Football Operations.

I am happy for you all you got the guy you wanted. But tread lightly here OK.

    Remember Saban was god.

Cam was going to turn this around.

You know the funny thing is that was said Best on NFL Network.

How do you coach for 4 teams and never get fired once. YOU QUIT. But yet because of his name he does not get flamed like Pitrino or Saban.

Be careful fin fans for putting all your hope into him. Remember he has quit on every team he has been a part of.

So had Landry and Shula :D

    j/k :hi5:

I get your point though and his short term commitment history concerns me greatly. My guess is that he doesn't stay to see the end of his 5 year contact.

You know I really can't decide whether I think this will end well or not.
Whether Parcells will take an indepth approach to really bringing in the best people or if he'll simply put some of his "buds" at posts.

Regardless, as to the longevity and whether he'll stay long enough to make a difference. I think you need to consider that what he walked away from in the past were coaching positions. No secret how stressful and what a mountainous day to day grind that is. This position is a whole new ballgame.
I don't know that the position of overseeing everything will stress him enough to where he feels he needs to take off. Just a thought.

exactly. we have taken a lot of talent n coaches in and turned them into crap. it isnt our team or somethin like that, its like a curse that hangs over this organization. it needs a complete 110% change.

In the 3-4 scheme that Parcells likes to run, and which any coach he hires will run, Vernon Gholston would play the same position as Lawrence Taylor did with the Giants, or that Demarcus Ware now plays for the Cowboys. Chris Long would play DE in the 3-4 and Parcells would be less likely IMO, to take a 3-4 DE that high. The ROLB is an attacker and a big playmaker. The scheme sets him up for that kind of thing, which is why a big athletic guy like Gholston has Bill Parcells kind of pick written all over him.

How is this the best draft ever?
Ellis was almost run out of town before starting to play well
Abraham, while talented can't stay on the field
Pennington is hated by Jet fans
    Becht? So-So TE
Coles, best player he took that year
    The others nothing.

If he had final say they would be even better.

Kevin Williams is the best Dline man on the best run stopping defense today. 65yd / game Minn gives up on the ground. AMAZING. Newman is a average CB who Ive seen burnt many times. Especially by chris chambers who doesnt have blazing speed. Your hater post make no sense because he actually done more then our coaches have done since the 70's.

One thing that's very obvious is Bill absolutely LOVES drafting D in the first few rounds, especially the front 7.

only thing I don't agree with is Newman being average. He and Trufant are both very good CBs. They just don't get a lot of INTs. And the I believe in 04 CC was burning Mario Edwards not a rookie Newman.

And if Parcells really wanted KWill props to him, everybody said he was a lousy pick for the Vikes, but as a rookie he played DE and had I believe 11 sacks, and has since been one of the best DTs in the NFL

Newman is average Just like Roy Williams. If they weren't on the Cowboys you'll never here about them. And If I remember correctly CC was burning him like crazy when we play Dallas on Thanksgiving. Trufant is shutdown corner you cant put Newman in that category.
