    Yes, Ryan Clark says..

Looks that Miami is getting the pub on paper with the additions of Wallace..Grimes..Ellerbe..Wheeler..Keller..Clabo..that's 6 starters just in free agency..

I think DJ and Taylor will be another two starters, hopefully Tomas and Davis win their jobs, that would make up about 50% of the starting roster..damn, that's serious turnover..

We need our young team to galvanize this city, I wish them luck and will be rooting as hard as I freakin can.

We need a big yr just as a franchise, I think we can have a great yr, but they have to get out on the field and prove it.

We do kinda look good on paper. Now, add the schedule paper we have next to it. Let's see how it all pans out. I'm hoping the best, but let's see how the boys get it together from now til Sept. 8th.

Our schedule isn't the best, but unlike most winners in March, we didn't take a ****ty team a la Washington or Buffalo, and add one overpriced piece in Albert Haynesworth or Mario Williams respectively. We took a middle of the road team that was 7-9 +/-2 games in all honesty, and upgraded entire corps on the team, i.e., Linebackers, WR's, DB's, OL. I'd say we're improved. Due to scheduling our record may not show it as much, but we are. I know it's hackneyed, but Tannehill is the fulcrum around which this team will rotate. If he fails, so does this team.

Yes, same guy. Clark didn't mock us, but he certainly did not have many positive things to say about Sparano or Ireland after his visit.

    10-5 will make us improved.

The paper part gives me hope but there is always that winning percent thing that seems to really count for some reason.

The schedule has a +10 Passer Rating Differential. Meaning, the average team on our schedule was 10 passer rating points better than we were in 2012.

I'm starting to like our draft a bit more..I think it was a nice balance of hi level athleticism and work ethic combined with filling needs..we talked about two of the most important things we could of used last year.

We needed someone to play opposite Cam..we got Dion freakin Jordan.

We needed a big play speed receiver to stretch that could stretch the field..we got Mike freakin Wallace.

That's two big pieces filled with two freaks..

Not as important when the team with the higher passer rating is correlated with winning the game at ~0.75 (75%).

Actually Crowder has been very supportive of what Ireland has done in this off season. He really liked the defensive players picked in this draft and you know he is going to be in favor of any Florida Gator selected in the draft.

Crowder might not be a big fan of Ireland's from a personal point of view, but he has so far spoken positively on the radio in regards to Ireland's actions so far in this off season. I thought he would question the signing of the two younger LB's and the cutting of Dansby and Burnett, but he seemed to understand the need to get younger and faster at the LB position.

I think Crowder has gotten over a lot of his animosity toward Ireland on the radio. He appears to now be able to look at what has transpired on the Dolphins roster this off season with a more reasonable point of view.

We do seem to be improved but we are relying a lot on second-year guys, rookies, and free agents. On offense we could have 7/8 of our starting lineup fall under that group, subject to change of course. On defense it seems we might would have just 3/4 of those guys. I have confidence in those players and we have a young, exciting roster, but there is a danger of guys not meshing with the system or facing setbacks as young players, as opposed to teams with more established players.

I'd like to see 10 wins, but I think a wildcard is the main goal regardless of record. Just looking at the current roster, I agree with you. Looking at say our GM, not seeing the playoffs for yet another year would be a little troubling, can only say "maybe next year" so many times. We also have a number of one-year contracts so our team could look different again next year, may need to take advantage of what we currently have this year.

I suspect Starks wore down as the season went along, we really could use some better DT depth that can get after the Qb.

Ones a franchise player, and the other a #1 pick, Odrick should move in a lot more now because of DJ's presence off the edge, he's more comfortable inside and is better at using his hands in close quarters..Starks just needs to bust out, I know he went thru some rough times for most of the year, with the outside weapons this defense is going to employ on the Qb, they better take advantage..I think they will, they both do have some pass rush skills for big men.

I haven't run those numbers, but I can tell you that in 2012, the Patriots finished with a +10 PRD, 7th best in the NFL.

In other words, our schedule on paper is the equivalent of playing the 2012 Patriots every week.

Besides, this is why they upgraded the secondary and added the best passrushing prospect in the draft etc.

And Tannehill has room to grow, late season Tannehill was a better Qb then early in the yr Tannehill.

That is passer rating from the same game that it is correlating with. The correlation of past games with future wins is not 0.75, unfortunately.

Yes, you are speaking from ignorance. You have no idea what you read, and are posting a knee-jerk response simply because you don't like what you believe are the implications of what you think you read. You cover for this by being snarky, but it's an ineffective, useless type of snark; good snark would at least convey some sort of counter-point. Your counter-point boils down to "I don't like the information you are posting, therefore I reject it out of hand."

You may continue to exercise your rights. Enjoy.

Ridiculous is too kind. If you listen to Mike Pouncey Miami will BE the 12-4 team this season. Maybe-maybe not but it's based on as much if not more relevant data than anything that a number crunch can come up with .

It's 2013 and Miami doesn't play the 2012 version of the Patriots or any other team from last year. If we face a single 12-4 team it'll be in the first round of the playoffs and Desides' weak kneed predictions will have already been proven wrong.

The roster has been through a major overall, for example I would LOVE to see the 2012 Patriots crowd the LOS and smother our offense the way they did last year. Brian Friggin Hartline blew the top off of their zone twice, imagine what Mike Wallace would do to those same coverages. And who's playing safety for NE this season? Adrian Wilson aka the only DB in the league to allow a touchdown to Hartline last year. Obviously the Pats will devise a different approach to defending the 2013 Phins' offense, as will the Bills, Jets and every other opposing team. How these changes will impact the game is anyone's guess. The really smart guys can come up with this or that stat but at the end of the day games are decided on the field, not on paper.
