I don't think Joe is going to survive the season actually, unless he gets caught again. Which would mean that in season 2 he probably escapes again, so it will be just like season 1. Never understood why cable channels just don't make 1 or 2 season mini series. A lot of these shows would be so much better.
My whole post is a spoiler alert so if you didn't see the final episode don't read it. Not a bad season finale at all. I'm glad they knocked off Joe as it would have been more of the same if he simply survived and they did more of the same next season. I did call the ending of the episode half way the episode and was actually happy it happened and left it as a good cliffhanger heading into next season. I do wonder where they will go from here, I'm guessing Claire doesn't survive leaving Ryan alone, again, and looking for a purpose in life and maybe more focused on FBI work. I do hope it is the end of the Joe's followers storyline though (even if that means Emma isn't caught but hopefully she's never seen again) leaving next season a whole next storyline and season long "case".
Joe is not dead. They purposely did not show him dying. They used the body of the guy Joe stabbed in front of Claire and somehow forged dental and dna records. If Claire dies, then it will become Hardy taking over care of Joey while trying to hunt down Joe. I hope I don't watch this POS show next season.
What was the story of the girl sitting in the chair crying after watching the news? I think they continue with this story next year with maybe Emma or the other girl (the one who stabbed Claire) taking the role of Joe with him coming back near the end.
Yes I've been hearing that theory from others as well. And I'm starting to, unfortunately, agree that Joe isn't dead after all. I read a brief article that states season 2 takes place "some time" after the events of Season 1 and that Ryan is in a very different place in life than when he was at the start of the series. So that would lead me to believe he's taking care of Joey now no matter what ends up happening to Claire. And yes I'm starting to hate myself for continuing to watch this show too....
I hadn't heard that theory, its just what me and the wife thought of last night when we watched it. We had been putting it off, but it was all we had left on our DVR, so we begrudgingly watched it. Sigh.
Oh yeah, I've heard it from at least two people I know personally and it's been on a few TV site recaps. Makes sense and would totally fit with how this show works.
I see that the Finale had 7.8 million viewers with 3.4 million being in 18-49 category which was good for #10 in that group. If they keep that 18-49 number than this show will stay on for a while maybe 3 or 4 years.
It's definitely a popular show right now but it think it all depends on where the series goes from here. While I know I complained about it a lot, it did have it's good moments at times. I am interested to see what's going to happen next but I could easily see myself getting bored of it if it's the same Joe stuff from season 1. I think if FOX were to make it a mini series it would have been way better off ditto for a show like Revenge which started out very good but is now just a hot mess.
See, I hadn't seen the last five episodes (including the finale) until this week. Just too busy and I had no idea they had renewed it. I mean, I was torn watching the end of the season. Hoping they didn't renew it. I just wanted to see an ending. wtf is wrong with us? Now I see they are renewing and **** my life backwards. that is totally not true. I mean she's cute don't get me wrong but her character bugs the **** out of me. Well, this whole show bugs the **** out of me. We're in complete agreement. Good lord this show was awful (when is it coming back, Fall or Spring? ) I mean the sequence where Joe escapes the mansion and they are in that couples home holding them hostage, he is making pasta and they sit down for a nice meal (that part was okay heh), but then the two cops knock at the door, Emma answers (why answer the door? the cops won't get suspicious, no sign of forced entry, I digress) and she shoots both cops... then Jacob comes running up and you know what he says? Something to the effect of "You Shot them" I swear to christ, I had to pause the recording, and laugh for a good five minutes. It was probably the worst line of the season. because the ratings are so high. What the hell is wrong with the rest of the networks that they can't find a show that beats this pile of monkey turd? we are the followers... WE ARE THE FOLLOWERS!!! WE ARE THE FOLLOWERS!! absolutely. Joe will have been helped to cover up the dental records aspect. They will just use a not yet introduced follower to explain any storyline defect. It's like the ******ed time travel excuse. Joe, Kevin Bacon, the FBI guy who got beaten up, appear to be the only three characters worth bringing back. I mean the FBI chick buried in the coffin was okay and her parents storyline as cult members was mildly interesting but she's obviously not coming back now. I hope Joey is played by a different kid. what is wrong with us? well they clearly wrote the ending to the season not knowing if it would be renewed again but with enough leeway to explain their way out of it and continue on. Oh and I guess you have Bacon's psycho girlfriend next door coming back as a possibility as well. Now I can get caught up on Revolution (there's another show with terrible acting and a pathetic story line) and Hannibal.
Both characters are more annoying than a Jets fan trying to complete a sentence without using any or all of the following words: "****", "you know what I'm sayin'", "freaking Namath baby", "place your nuts on my chin". But from a purely physical standpoint, one is hot and the other answered a casting call that listed nothing more than, "blonde hair, pug face".
