Edit your post. Get rid of the [ at the beginning of the quoted part and at the ] end of the quoted part. Just highlight the text that is part of the quote then hit the little quote button that looks like a thought balloon.

You have to insert your thread title, then just hit the Quote balloon, and insert your text.

And I like Philbin, he'll really be put to the test this season though.

    You just quoted my post.

Tell you what, quote this post, then type some gibberish in reponse and highlight the gibberish and hit the quote button. Now DO NOT hit "Post Quick Reply". Instead just simply look and compare the quote tags at the beginning and end of my post to the quote tags at the beginning and end of your gibberish. You'll notice the only difference between them is "=Fin D;some number" as the front tag.

    hi Fin

I know how to hit the reply with quote button, now I know how to get a quote from a newspaper, my question was more about highlighting multiple quotes from members posts..you know when you wanna dissect someone's opinion, the quote is highlighted, then your response is underneath.

Click the button to the right of the 'Reply with Quote' button. That is a multi-quote button. Click those in the order you want to reply. To bring them all together you click 'Reply with Quote' on the last post you want to respond to.

So if you want to respond to Padre, Fin D and then me you click the multi quote button on Padre's post, the multi quote button on Fin D's post and then Reply with Quote button on my post

Ok. Notice on what I showed you that the closing quote tag (the one that had the /quote) was the same for both a quoted post and for using the quote button? So all you have to do is quote the post, then just type the closing quote tag (/quote with the brackets on either side [] ) at the end of the part you want to address. Then for the beginning of each new part you want to address other than the first one, just add the opening quote tag (quote with the brackets on either side [] )

So go ahead and quote this post. Put a closing quote tag after this part (I'll put an arrow in my text where I want you to do that) and then type your response to this section. Then put an opening quote tag before each number of each sentence below and a closing quote tag after each sentence below. In between those sentences type your rebuttal to each sentence. Here's the arrow I told you about ----->

I don't know that Philbin/Ireland have made the right moves so much as that there is a perception they've made the right moves. Those things aren't the same things, and a lot of the times the public perception is formed off of the wrong reasons.

I guess we could look at it this way. We took last year's team that could've easily gone 9-7 and:
    1. added the top WR in FA.
    2. added the top defensive player/pass rusher in the draft.
    3. added a Pro Bowl caliber CB.
    4. revamped the LB corps (made it faster, younger, more athletic, and better in coverage & playmaking ability).
    5. upgraded TE (including depth).
    6. improved overall talent & depth at corner.
    7. improved interior Oline (or at least its depth).
    8. hopefully upgraded the inconsistent Carpenter.

In addition to that, if Tannehill, Martin, Jerry/Louis, and Miller/Thomas take the next step, I don't see why we shouldn't be at least a 10-6 team.

    1. we choked away multiple games leaving us 7-9
    2. hasnt played a snap in the nfl
    3. injured cb
4.added to guys with no experience playing with each other
    5. we did upgrade at te and depth
    6. vontae and sean smith arguably more serviceable then the rookies and other scabs playing cb
    7. we did do that but still so many uncertainties on ol
    8. yet to take a kick in the nfl

Agree about the kicker, tbh, I don't like his game

Disagree about SS24, liked the guy, to many yrs of dropped int's.

Every team has new players arrive, the key is to have proven guys at spots that matter and let the younger ones still get meaningful snaps.

lmao at you patting yourself on the back about tavon austin going 8 in a weak *** draft. congrats man your such a guru. that was such a reach that nobody else was saying that it would happen. you knew something no one else was saying or talked about. if the sarcasm wasnt thick enough let me spell it our for you. You arent a genius for suggesting tavon austin would go in the top 10.

but your right you predicted tavon austin would go in the top 10 so all your opinions must be valid . YA right. lord knows if i dug around long enough or lacked a life and re read all your posts how many times youve been wrong.

but hey your the guru that said tavon austin would go in the top 10 so all your other bull**** posts must be right.

hears some more ego boosts for you. "pats you on the back" there you go buddy. congrats

and by the way your post was deemed invalid the moment you said we should have been 9-7. the world aint built on should of's thats not realistic or wise. its a cop out

You don't think a 7 and 9 team made the changes to upgrade the roster?, you don't think Ireland was aggressive in his approach to free agency and the draft?

We signed Mike Wallace, a proven deep threat/dangerous receiver in the NFL, very aggressive move.

You don't think brent grimes is a good young corner?

You don't think stealing Ellerbe from the ravens, who now has championship pedigree and was tutored by the best leader that football has ever seen was a good move?

You don't think wheeler is a better player than Burnett?

You think there was a better defender with more potential than Dion Jordan in this draft?

You don't think Tyson clabo upgrades the right tackle position?

You don't think getting rid of Bush's skillset was the right move ?

You don't like Jamar Taylor as a prospect?

it tough to wait this much longer to see this team finally play, free agency is as good as done, so is the draft, rookie camps closed to the public, no more info really...the tough time of the year starts right now

Maybe Ireland was just too caught up in trying to find players for a flawed system (Henning, Sparano) is it ironic I love just about all of Jeff's moves since we brought Philbin along.

I really believe that duo will bring us a SB.

You gotta give it to him, Finatic. The man has a knack for finding silver linings.

I agree with Finatic that the team hasn't taken a snap and everyone is already a winner. Take it down a notch, fellas. Half full- the way to go. Spilling the beverage- cool your jets.

Finatic, brotha, if you can't get even a little excited about the offseason we just had, check your pulse. You may be dead. Keep in mind, I'm a realist, like you. Forget what may or may not be. If you can't declare the offseason a win because a snap has not been taken, you can't declare it a loss either, right? We made moves. We targeted a player. We signed said player. We targeted a prospect. We grew a pair and went to get him, for better or worse, till contract due us part. Forget the season. It'll get here (and not soon enough). As of this moment, we got the bull by the horns. Lets ride the ***** till she bucks and enjoy the drive.

I've seen all these players hit the field though, ours and the others we aquired..lot of reps.

We may of lost some players, but the ones we aquired, are upgrades.

Which ones don't you think is an upgrade and lets talk about them?

You have to be excited by our off-season moves. Miami is trying to get better and challenge, but in a smart way. IDK if it will work out, but for the first time in a long time, I'm excited as a dolphin fan.
