Man, you can just tell how dedicated Tannehill is when it comes to improving his game. I'm absolutely stoked to see what he can/will do this season. He has the mentality of a true franchise QB.

I keep hearing that Wallace is a "one trick pony" and these clips didn't do a lot to dispel that idea, but geez, isn't being a great receiver about getting open ?? Well, he was open, by a lot, on every one of those plays (not counting the deep out in the endzone) and that's what counts. I don't see too much of an issue with him...everyone knows he's got speed and yet he still gets open...that's ok with me, no matter what the route run, so long as he catches the ball and scores...

Route running ni route running, compadre. Olvidate de eso, acere. We don't need no stinking route running, my friends. Leave that to someone else. What you see in those clips, that's what we need. That's what you should want. Any time. Any day. At any price. Gimme the best route runner in the world. If he can't hit grand slams, what I want him over Wallace for? I want touchdowns, mijo.

Word to your moms Wallace came to drop bombs. We might as well rename old Joe the House of Pain.

The acceleration in the Titans clip is impressive. Goes from half speed to warp speed at will. Even if he's not perfect in the other facets of his game, defenses will have to respect the speed and lay off, which should do wonderful things for the offense as a whole.

The Steelers/Jets game was on yesterday and Wallace ran more than just Go and Fades. Good number of outs and comebacks from what I saw.

Thus Brandon Gibson, for anyone who has any questions about the thinking behind that signing. Gibson ranks extremely high on third down, IIRC.

The play against Jason Allen is ridiculous, guys, Jason Allen is fast and he turned and ran at the snap with a 10 yard head start, full speed, and Wallace smoked his Lilly ***, damn, I remember that play, I couldn't believe it, Allen really was runnin full speed..lol

I'm waiting to see the presence and leadership skills, haven't quite seen them yet imo, but I believe he is very competitive and tough, willing to throw his body on the line, so he might be a different type leader.

Thanks..cool stuff..the two plays one against the titans and the other against the cardinals, 85 and 93 yards, just pure speed and throwing the ball as far as the Qb can lol, if you pause on every play right before the ball gets into his arms lets say five yards in the air, you will see why he's not just a speed guy, check out the cradle position of his arms, so perfect and consistent, made for a new born baby, check out his head and eyes, completely focused, just looks the same in every shot, basically his deep ball mechanics are superb.

His type of speed shows you tangible evidence of how space will be created for other players, and why his contract number is so high, it's not just about numbers with him to understand his impact, he's dangerous to a def coordinator, as dangerous as any player in the league not named Calvin. Johnson.

It's the same reason why darrelle Revis deserves to get paid five million more than the other guys.

"...and the ball was not as accurate as you want it to be..."

Uhm, have been saying that all offseason and was dismissed for saying it.

He'll get better at it, that I'm certain of, however for all of the blame Hartline et al caught, much of it was equally THill's fault.

Yup, I was one who disagreed with you, but it was always in the context of him having innate accuracy in his DNA, which I believe he does, so it was not necessarily a concern of mine, but, I did agree with you about inside the red zone, he does need to pinpoint throws more, right now he's throwing to a spot instead of the target, you can see it tangibly when a Qb is comfortable and is following thru correctly on those tough throws, I haven't seen that yet.

Roethlisberger talking about how you can't overthrow Wallace.... Troy Aikman said the same thing about Deion Sanders when he got to Dallas and played receiver. Troy would heave it as far as he could and Deion would always end up under it, if not waiting on it.

Having that kind of speed on your side cannot be understated.

I liked that a few of those deep passes were bad passes by Ben that Wallace adjusted to. And the thing about that much speed is that it makes good angles by the S suddenly bad.

    And rightfully so.

Pro Football Focus said that if you take away drops, spikes, batted passes and throwaways for all NFL quarterbacks, Tannehill had a 72.1 accuracy percentage – 13th in the league and well ahead of Eli Manning, Flacco and Andrew Luck, among others.

    Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/spor...seeks-qbsfins-heat-marlins.html#storylink=cpy

The point was that RT wasn't inaccurate compared to most NFL QBs. Obviously, he wants to be more accurate and should, but it isn't correct to say that he was inaccurate.

It's not the same thing Rafi, THill knows there is a difference between completing a pass and sticking a throw where it needs to go, saw that a lot from him last yr.

This is not a stat monkey thing.

Thing is, unlike Henne, THill has the cajones to do it, imo he does not care who the coaches are he believes in his talent and to be blunt, **** them if they don't like him.

Only saw that from Henne in that MNF Jest game when he stuck a throw to Ted Ginn for a Td

That's not inaccuracy. That's not bad ball placement. The fact is that he was accurate compared to his peers. That sounds like you're saying you want him to attempt more passes into tight areas.

Exactly, the offense requires him to stick throws above the hips and below the shoulders w/the receiver heading downhill, and on deep passes he has to lead them, he was not really good at either in 2012.

Oh he was inaccurate, and I stand by that b/c it lead to him blowing opportunities.

To many times the Wr did not get the ball on time and in rhythm, it was low or the ball hung in the air etc, I'm not saying that to the air, it's what I watched.

Not relative to most NFL QBs, that's the point. Anybody can say "too many times". Compared to NFL QBs RT is not inaccurate. He's actually in the top half of starting QBs in just his first year. And that's despite the fact that he spent most of his time throwing to receivers who barely knew the offense due a new system, missed camp time and injury. Much of the alleged inaccuracy (which really wasn't as much as most NFL QBs) was really receiver error that fans erroneously blame on the QB. To harp on RT's inaccuracy is just ridiculous and ill-informed.
