Tony Brothers tried really hard to rig this game for the Pacers, and it was still not enough. Bosh, Bron in foul trouble throughout and Wade fouls out on bull****? Nice effort Tony! Here comes free gambling advice..Heat cover game 2, easy. Pacers couldn't win a rigged game. I DO NOT want to see another "Heat get all the calls" post.
I picked the wrong game to fall asleep in the middle on. Sounds like Vogel cost them the game... An uncontested lay up with 2 seconds left? Love it, tha New Jersey defensive guru gets his *** handed too him....fitting. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Bron is just balls......I literally walked in from work, come in put on the game and that's what I see........ Kid is on it....
As soon as I saw Tony Brothers was assigned to the game I knew this would be tight. Sec, I have a general coaching strategy question for you. Why don't more coaches foul when up 3 in a last possession game like at the end of the 4th quarter? The Heat played marvelous defense for 10 seconds. Indiana was completely discombobulated. It's under 2 seconds and david West is still holding the ball. Why not foul him? Worst thing that happens is that he pulls off the make/miss intentionally and get a basket, which is less likely then a good player hitting a miracle shot.
Mike&Mike has literally replayed that shot 100 times already, maybe more, it's embarrassing for them. I really dislike BSPN, amateur hour imo.
It's a math problem. Coaches think..correctly...that a stop is always preferential to playing the numbers game with free throws. it has also been tested that the chances of gettign the offensive rebound on an intentional miss is pretty close to 50%, so they just want to keep it simple. Get the stop. Most coaches are risk averse.
Hehe. To add. Few people notice the little shimmy hop that Spo does, and then the fist pump. Great stuff. Sent from my phone using Fapatalk 2
You guys want a laugh? I am currently trying to find a way to play up the Lebron to Cleveland stuff for our show. Yeah...I am media.
Gotta love watching Wade the whole way through the .gif. That unbridled enthusiasm is great to see in a day in age when everybody is too cool for school.
Remember to **** all over the Dolphins. Maybe something like "Did Miami draft too many rookies? How will they pay for everyone?"
I have barely watch the Playoffs, I mean it's a foregone conclusion that Heat are Winning the Title, They have the Best Team and Player and I'm not a Heat Fan but I'm not going to Invest My Time watching these Games When The Overall outcome is determined, I already fell for it once when I would watch and Pray for the Bulls in 90's to get Beat and it never Happened. Only way Lebron and company are losing is if Lebron get a serious injury like tearing something.
I don't think you can count on one hand how many teams in this league TODAY'S Lebron James couldn't win a title with. Orlando Sacramento Charlotte .......... .......... ......I dunno
I think he could probably get Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins to play hard and be interested in basketball again. They'd probably get it done. Atlanta will be pretty crappy looking roster wise when Josh Smith leaves. Id probably add on them and Phoenix.
Tonight will tell me all I need to know about this series. If the Pacers win I think it goes six games, they lose and I think it goes four or five.
You will have to beat much more than the Pacers, too win both games in Indiana. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
If the Heat can win tonight then I am almost certain that they will lead the series 2 games to none. Not only that, but the series may or may not end in 4 games; otherwise if they lose, the the series is tied and a fifth game would be mandatory. /analysis
We already did in game one. D wade fouled out Lebron 5 fouls - 2 in first quarter forced him to the bench Bosh 5 fouls - 2 in force quarter and 3 in first half forces him to the bench twice
Lebron will pick up two techs in Pregame warmups. Seriously why would the refs have a boner for the Pacers of all teams? I get teams that have some glamor like the thunder. But a small market thug you team? Just don't get it.
It's not about the Pacers. It's about the ratings. ECF Game 1 doubled the ratings for WCF Games 1 and 2. The NBA wants a series, they don't want the Heat to steamroll through the Finals to another championship. Even the Jordan Bulls had to fight for those rings. Maybe this is childhood coloring my perception, but I remember the Bulls-Jazz series being an epic fight, and the Bulls-Suns series as being pretty epic in its own right.
If it were about the ratings Indiana wouldve got "screwed" at home to allow a ratings monster like NY/MIA. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I think this could land you a job working the NBA pregame, postgame, and halftime shows siting right next Bill Simmons. Great work!
I actually agree with both what you and Desides are saying. I think if it were for highest ratings available then they'd want NY/Miami for rivalry and big market purposes. What hes getting at though is that if Miami just plows through everyone then people will lose interest. Pacers-Heat will never have as much appeal as NY-Heat...it cant because Indiana is a smaller market and there's so much dislike for NY teams usually. But if the Heat just roll through everyone then the casual fans will not have interest. The basketball junkies like me will still end up watching but when he said ratings I think this is what he was talking about. Youre going to lose a couple of rating points if you lose those casual fans or fans of other teams who are watching because their team got eliminated
However you want to slice it, Indiana a defensive team who is as physical as anyone in the league...has been the beneficiary of multiple games called in their favor. Why?? I dunno. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Anything with the Heat in it is going to be a ratings monster. Knicks not required. Heat vs Small Market Thug Team is already doubling the ratings of Spurs vs Grizzlies.
