Yeah, it's Omar, but it's a decent piece. Gets you excited about Tanne and what he hopefully can do this year.

I think I know exactly what he's talking about when it comes to Ryan's command and accuracy..there's something about his accuracy that I think can be special, I just don't think he caught up with the tempo and speed enough to relax his feet, get set, see what he was throwing to, and just let his innate ability do the rest, I do think we will see a level up from last year, but I don't think it will be his ceiling, I think there will be more.

It was pretty cool they used a pic of Tannehill in the new gear.

If you click that pic there's a fair breakdown of his performance last year by Gregg Rosenthal.

This season can't start soon enough, we have endured mediocrity long enough.

    It's time.

I hate being wrong, yet, in this instance, I'm so excited about it.

Like I said in another thread, I am glad he played last season. And to be already ahead of Andy Dolton and Sam Bradford in the Top 10 QB under 25 is another notch to how good he can be! The potential is their, and taking him at #9 was no reach at all. Glad we got him and did not have to settle on another QB in that draft, or even one in this years draft.

    I'll drink to that :hi5:.

I thought he'd need at least a year or 2 before we saw what he was capable of, turns out it was more like a week or two. I'll put that L in my trophy case next to Omobi Okoye, Yatil Green and John Avery.

In my defense I absolutely nailed it on Ryan Mallett.

I think we all forgot that he'd only played 19 games as a QB in college, if you put things in perspective his head must have been spinning.
First game Houston batted balls all over the place, you didn't see that happen again, you could see his progress thru the season.
Worst game Thursday night in Buffalo.

Everyone's gotten something wrong. I couldn't see the real Vernon Gholston through the Ohio State Homer Goggles back in the 2008 Draft. In retrospect, I'm glad I got that wrong, and learned a lot from it and how to evaluate players differently moving forward.

I am too, but I'm still trying to keep my excitement under wraps, I'll unleash it fully when he fulfils the promise (hopefully) this season. The signs are good, but I've learned through previous false dawns to be patient...

The biggest thing I've taken so far is that Tannehill is working on his own time with some receivers, outside the team environment. Heard Packers HC Mike McCarthy say the other day that the biggest change with the way the offseason works now (under the new CBA) is that they don't get enough time to work with the quarterbacks. That was something I'm sure Phlbin was involved in back in Green Bay. And something the Packers were well known for in the offseason, developing their quarterback group. And I would be willing to bet that Tannehill, if he hadn't taken initiative himself, would have been "supported" by elements of the offensive coaching staff to work with his new receivers as much as possible.

  18. Sorry but that was another garbage piece by Omar. It was nothing more than an endless string of platitudes.

To be clear I am not knocking RT I just thought the article lacked insight and depth unless you think saying that if RT throws more TDs and less INTs we will more games is some great revelation.
