There's some bs goin on trying to get the pacers back in this... 3 series in a row where they ****ed up the shot clock and then ridiculous calls
nba is fixed i give up on this league ill stick to watching the dolphins lose every sunday at least they are allowed to play
While I'm *****ing that the refs have been horrible towards Miami, they're screwing up tons of calls both ways. However, based off of trends, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there's going to be some ridiculous calls after this break to try to get the pacers back in it.
Weird second half. Lebron has barely posted up and D West isn't getting a lot of shots. Both guys were unguardable and now they're barely part of their offenses.
Off topic: I know very little about basketball, but is Dwight Howard worth the seeming never ending petulant child headache that seems to follow him? Is he really THAT good that it makes dealing with him worth it?
Good question. IMO you don't often win when your center piece is that talented but equally mentally weak, especially given his complacency in his incomplete skillset. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
Yes. ..and to show you that it's more than couple of fans talking, I will quote a recent column about him
meh he's not as good as he's billed the nba bigs are watered down he would only be an above avg center 15 years ago in the nba
Its complicated imo. Hes a petulant child to a large degree who complained publicly about more then 1 coach. Hes limited in his offensive game. But the raw talent is there. Its hard to call someone an underachiever when they have 3 DPOY awards and have averaged 23PPG but when youve watched Dwight his whole career and watched the way his offense disappears at times still, its extremely frustrating. Hes a great defensive player who is best suited to be the 2nd or 3rd option offensively on a championship team. Id love for him to be my starting center, in part because of position scarcity and in part because of his actual ability. Id hate for him to be the centerpiece to my offense. Guy still cant hit free throws (which I guess is normal for a lot of big men because once their arms are extended theyre actually shooting down or at the same level as the rim) but hes actually gotten worse. Hes too easily taken out of the game offensively. But I think if you put a great scorer or two around him and let Dwight occupy the paint hes a very difficult matchup if you space the floor right. I could see him having a lot of success with a stretch 4 like Dirk or Love who doesnt necessarily need the paint area to be effective. Theres more good then bad to Dwight as a player but he is high maintenance.
Hell ****ing NO. He would be the 7th man for the Knicks and might even put them over the top with his spacing, as far as a real threat to make the Heat sweat. You have him fresh for the playoffs? Good lord. I am glad we have him nice and cozy on our bench in a "break glass in case of emergency" box.
HOLLY ****! You caught it! I almost edited that post because I thought I was being too obscure. You caught it!
Those moments when the Pacers shoot 44 Free Throws, the Heat shoot 28, while having almost double the paint attacks...the Heat win in a blow out..and Pacer/Haters all cry that the game was rigged for the Heat..make watching this game worth it. God bless Pacer/Hater fans.
The point about Miller was never how good he is anyway. The point was that if Battier and Allen continue to struggle shooting there is no reason to NOT give him a few minutes a game to see if he can provide a spark with his shooting.
Because some blowhard claimed Mike Miller would be the 3rd or 4th best player on the Knicks...that's how.
