They gave up 50% shooting and only created 12 turnovers. Embarrassing defensively. Won't happen twice in a row. Would like to see more Norris Cole, and they should do a better job denying passes into the post.
Anderson is not nearly strong enough. There is nobody on the Heat that can guard Hibbert. Success defensively will derive from creating turnovers, and disrupting passing lanes so Hibbert can't get the ball on the block.
This is why it is impossible to argue with Section126. You show him visual evidence and he finds a way to dismiss it. Uncanny!
Best defense is a good offense. LBJ/Wade/Chalmers and Bosh need to drive the lane at Hibbert without fear. Yes, he will block you or knock you down once in awhile, but he is much more likely to pick up fouls the more you drive at him. Make hime a 35, rather than a 40 minute player and the Heat win going away
What he's saying is to watch the video. Looks to me like LeBron was setting a screen at the same time as Stephenson was losing control of his body.
No. it is impossible to argue with me, if you bring up inanities such as laucnching an indepth investigation over one foul during a game, complete with an analysis of still pics.
So...Dan Crawford is the Ref tonight. and some of you actually think they didn't rig game 4? well..here is the makeup "rig". I will be shocked if Hibbert (rightly so) isn't in foul trouble throughout. Well, game 6 will be called square. That is how it usually works.
1. My comment was a compliment. I love your tenacity. Not joking or making a backhanded compliment. 2. LeBron stepped on the dude's foot. Does that make it a foul? Probably not, but there was definitely foot-stepping on going on there.
I understand. I was just commenting on Phin-O who was bringing me a warren commission report to make his point.
C'mon Sec I love arguing with you are on here - but you are claiming the entire NBA is rigged without providing much of any proof and getting upset that I challenged that idea. I really don't think I'm the one being over-the-top, here.
want proof? Lebron James got 4 fouls within the last 6 minutes he played in a game 4, once the Heat cut a 9 point deficit to 3. Open your eyes.
Happens every yr Nomina, if one reads through the 2012 thread you'll find the same thing. This is one reason why on a purely entertainment stand point I'd far rather watch a NHL playoff game as the intensity is just insane and there is less of the "wow, really?" sort of calls.
Well you asked me if I could read earlier and now are telling me my eyes are closed. If you knew my eyes were closed, why did you ask me if I could read? Obviously I can't read with my eyes closed.
The game was poorly officiated - in both ways. The Pacers got 3 quick calls to open the 4th when they were up 7. After the 24 second violation they got 2 more quick foul calls that again helped the Heat pull back into the game. If the refs were truly trying to specifically screw the Heat, then why give the ball to the Heat on a very 50/50 out of bounds call that no one would dispute - instead opting to screw them in a very controversial 6th foul on LeBron?
How the league usually works is they let them play in the last 8 minutes or so, Bron got 4 fouls or one about every 1:30, think about it. One can count on one hand the number of times he has ever fouled out of a game, and yet, 4? one every minute thirty seconds when the game was closing?
Want proof? Tim Donaghy and Joey Crawford went to the same high school. Crawford was once suspended from the NBA and was only reinstated by Stern after a year after it was originally supposed to be life after his scam to bilk the NBA out of money in an airline ticket scam. Stern gave Crawford his job back and in return hes their puppet ever since. Always has been. Wasnt he also the blind dunce that robbed the Kings also? Hes robbed the Knicks, he definitely did the Heat dirty last game. Guy is the worst official known to man. Maybe its not rigged but Crawford is a puppet.
Hmm, took you this long to figure that out? Kidding aside, world of difference, in the NBA finals intensity is kicked up, in every NHL playoff game they sell their bodies out and play with stuff like ACL's, broken jaws, just light yrs in difference.
So we're going back to my earlier point. If you believe the NBA is rigging games to maximize television ratings, then you think the NBA is rigging / going to rig games to help the Heat. Because they are the meal ticket right now. Biggest stars. Biggest market left in the playoffs. If you believe the NBA is rigging games for profit, there is pretty much no argument the Heat don't benefit from that.
Bingo (the bold part)...the more games they play the more chances to build intrigue. The more intrigue, the more ratings build. The more ratings build (and they are down significantly right now), the more money and publicity for the league. Always think in terms of profit and gate for pro sports conspiracy. A 4 game sweep by Miami does nothing for the league but a 6 or 7 game series with mostly close games..does wonders. There is a dislike factor there...from knicks, cavs, lakers, nets, bulls and fans of pretty much every other team that thought they had a chance to get Lebron. The Spurs-Grizzlies..theres no storyline that can be written there outside of Duncans greatness, no opportunity for controversy. But a Heat-Pacers Game 6 or Game 7? It builds James and Wade's opportunity to be exposed to a national audience, in a big game that matters which is one of the ways Jordan's mystique was built.
But if we're saying the NBA wants the Heat to play the most amount of games possible, then why are we complaining about refs in some random ECF game? If the NBA rigs games to maximize the Heat, then getting them to the Finals will be their #1 priority no matter what. So Heat fans complaining about refs in game 4 of the ECF seems silly if they believe the NBA is rigging the series in their favor anyways.
Damn, hate that ratings are down, but am unsurprised, they are reaping what they have sown. Destroy your minor leagues the NCAA schools (no offense meant to the DLeague) via letting frosh's enter the league, then be perceived as a lot of self centered millionaires, then take contact out of the game and guess what? Wow..a 3.0...for Friday games: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...own-merlin-jessie-mystery-diners-more/184392/ To put that into perspective the typical NFL game rates a 7, over twice as much. Even more context: Kentucky Derby rated a 10.4
Hmm, last finals iirc had a 12 rating (maybe 14), let us see what comes around this year. Of course there is mkt segmentation, for example Miami v Spurs will be higher in both mkts, nationwide it remains to be seen how it will play across the country.
wade sucks I don't even care if he has a huge game after i say this hes not even remotely close to the same player I've watched past 10 years dude is like 30% of what he was
What in the world possessed Anderson to do that? Cole take some dumbass shot and that's how he reacts?
