These guys are so uber skilled that IMO being Atleast a decent defender is mostly effort.

Coming into the situation he would be forced to buy into the Heat culture, wich is in large part defense.

That being said,I think we all know he will be a NY Knick.

Unleash the Warden. Keep Haslem on Hibbert.
Bam. Series over. Bring on San Antonio.

I don't disagree, but if I'm making a list of guys to play with LeBron, there a number of names I would put before Irving.

Right now yes. By 2014 when its an opt out year for some of the Heat players? Probably less then 10.

If Chris Paul isnt this offseason then yes. I still think the CP3 thing to NY happens. Too many things working in our favor for it.

1 The toast at Carmelo's wedding
2.The lack of interest in Phil Jackson despite rumors that Jackson would have come to NY - Melo fits the triangle perfectly...you know who doesnt? CP3.
    3. CP3 is angry at the Clippers for his name being linked to Vinny Del Negro's being let go. One thing CP3 has been throughout is quiet. Hes done the same thing as D12, Melo etc but his name has never been really been dragged through it like those guys.
    4. Dwight Howard doesnt want to play in ATL and Im not sure CP3 would follow him there anyway. Neither Houston or Dallas have the room to sign both, only Atlanta does. It screams Sign and Trade.
    5. Both Melo and CP3 are represented by CAA
    6. December 2011 - The Knicks tried to trade Amare for CP3 after signing Tyson and amnestying Billups.
    7. Letting Lin and Fields walk last offseason without even trying to match or get compensation they knew they would have to stay below the Salary Tax Apron which they are currently about 1-2 million over. Easily correctable with a trade of a vet for a pick or using the stretch provision in the new cba to spread out camby or kidds contract for an extra 3 years (not sure I like this idea but feasible)

By then, I dont think there will be 5 players available you'll want more. Im not sure you realize how good he is. Get a team around that kid and he will be an elite player.

Right, but he's not having a team built around him. You're building a team around LeBron. I would take Kevin Love over Kyrie Irving.

If the rumor that the Cavs are willing to accept Love for the #1 pick is true then we may not get the chance.

But Love would most certainly be on my top 10 potentially available players in 2014...As much as I like him though he plays even less D then Irving. Cant really go wrong either way but I think Irving has a special level to his game that Love isnt capable of. That said Love is a very good big and those are just hard to find.

Whatever will the Heat do without Birdman??

Considering they get out scored by nearly 4ppg in the postseason when he is in.

I'm glad he is along for the ride, if he can chip in 12 pts all the better.

We used to call that "hug a thug", back during the Pistons' "Bad Boy" era with Rick Mahorn and Co.

Wade's defense was really good until tonight. His offfense has been horrible but they need his defense on the floor. If things keep going like this I do hope they give Miller a few minutes.

Then nails two huge threes and plays hustle defense. Fact is if Shane Battier or Allen shoot well this series is already over but we have had NO offensive threat except Lebron and this teams is too talented for that.
