    Check out our article with
    http://prointerviews.org/2013/06/01/fifteenth/

Exclusive interviews with Brian Hartline, Brian Tyms, Alonzo Highsmith, and a group interview with Richard Marshall.
And a quote from Joe Philbin's press conference.

I also share my opinions on the OTAs and the players who I interviewed.

A lot of times reporters etc ask general questions about team direction and what have you

You went direct and asked them how they felt they were performing and what they needed to do to improve.

Thank you so much. I appreciate that!! I thought you meant far from the norm of my usual interviews, but yes, I am all about asking players what they can do to improve and get better. I am all about positive media.

And a good player will always have some area they will try to improve upon

Can recall a story about the Browns attacking Zach Thomas in coverage so after the game he studied the game film of himself, for himself, to try and see what they were seeing.

    And then improve upon it

That is the athletes' culture, unless they are just wildly physically gifted like a Deion Sanders

BUT few reporters bother to ask them about it, they go with canned interview questions

"so uhm, you like Coach Philbin? What do you like about his coaching style?"

    Blah blah

From the Athletes pov, ask them questions that one finds interesting, and your readers will find interesting, but do not directly relate to being an athlete per se.

For example did they play any other sports, or what brand their first pair of cleats were etc

Keep in mind, these guys hear the same questions over and over again, imo that causes them to take a dim view of the media's view of their intelligence.

Like Bline owning a convenience store, in a time when most athletes are bankrupt within 4 yrs of getting out of the business..why did he open one etc?

Thanks for this stuff Max, what's your history, where'd you come from?

can you be more specific on what you saw from Jenkins?

I saw Jenkins just move well, solid footwork and instincts, short steps, and seems to be flying to the ball on the defense. He did not go against the ones though.

As for my history...I started interviewing NFL players when I was a sophomore in high school. It is now over three years old. From south florida (went to HS in PENN). I attend the University of Miami. []__[]!! I LOVE IT. I have covered Dolphins games before, and also other events, such as Jets training camp, and a Redskins game.
I have interviewed and met up with a bunch of Phins players and Dolfans. Recently met with Hartline (before we did an interview). Met and spent an hour long improv session with Tannehill before he was drafted to the Dolphins, and I was very impressed. Have done interviews with Chad Pennington, Nolan Carroll, Marlon Moore, Paul Soliai, and some others.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

...Also, I'm going to Israel this Sunday 6/02 for ten days, so I'm sorry if I don't reply, but email me strauss@prointerviews.org and I'll do my best.

I'm telling you Deej, Jelani Jenkins was an absolute steal, dude has more range then a safety and the hitting instincts of a MLB, runs 4.4's at 240ish?

    Just watch.

He is very smart off the field as well. Reminds me of Colin McCarthy pick by the Titans a few years ago, turned out to be a great pick.
Jenkins was 104th overall, Colin McCarthy was 109th. Good comparison maybe?

Colin McCarthy was in my mock draft that year, I really liked him as a prospect relative to his draft value, and thought Miami should of drafted him, I don't personally see the comparison with Jenkins, But that's cool, I look forward to seeing him in camp.
