This conversation has reminded me of how poor the QB play has been since `99. Looking back at these game logs and seeing names like: Fiedler (who I liked but wasn't anything special), AJ Feeley, Ferotte, Griese, Henne...ect.

    Please Tannehill.

Super Bowl VIII. I was just a little kid, that was the first game I can remember. Watched it on a little black and white set. I had just moved away from Miami to Maryland and a lot of kids there hated Miami because they had beaten the Redskins in the Super Bowl the year before.

I remember my mom, who wasn't too optimistic generally, told me she had a terrible feeling the Dolphins would lose. As some of you may remember, the Phins had TD drives on their first two possessions.

Who would have thought they wouldn't have won a single Super Bowl since then?

No question about it....the mud bowl game against the jests....aj duhe was awesome, as usual. But what was best was that one of the locals in our section had sold their tix to two jests fans....they went from loud and boisterous before the game to leaving early in the 4th qtr.... Seriously it was a great game...

another good one was a Monday nite game against the ingles in 77. The game was delayed due to fan noise. We were even given penalties for delay of game. The more Shues and players tried to get us to quiet down, the louder we got. Jaws was completely befuddled....

    2002 MNF @ Denver.

One of the most physical games I've ever seen. This was the game that Denver safety nearly killed Chambers and then Mare proceeded to kick the game winning FG from 50+ yards.

Some good games posted here, good memories...for me it has always been the MNF game against the bears. That bears team was a machine that year and Marino took them down a few pegs, I've never been more proud to a Phins fan....

Everyone keeps saying that game, but I can't because it cost us everything that year. We lost the bulk of our passing game and it was the reason the Ray Lucas debacle happened. We had a shot that year, until that game.

It is the perfect example of how winning one battle can cost you the war.

I blame Cris Carter for his TD drop against his former team.

It's hard to nail it down to one. I have about 10 in my head that are very memorable.

The final game of the regular season in 1984, Dec 17th MNF vs the Cowboys. My brother's team. Amazing 4th quarter. Beat them 28 to 21.

The first game of that 1984 season against the Redskins, the revenge game for what happened in the Super Bowl two seasons prior. This time we had Marino. Beat them 35 to 17.

Nov 22nd, 1987, Sunday night football on ESPN at Dallas (again). Troy Stradford runs for what seemed like 300 yards. We win 20 to 14. Always remember that one because I went to a concert that night, the game was recorded on VHS tapes (3 of them because my parents didn't figure out the difference between standard play and extended play ). Got home at 11pm or so and watched the game till 2 in the morning.

    Back in Miami
Almost any..... I have tried hard to erase the 85 Championship game from my memory but to no avail...... we would have given the Bears a much bigger challenge.

I think the odds are decent that we would have beaten the Bears. Their biggest strength was their ability to bring defensive pressure and that no team in the league could handle that pressure. No team except Miami. Miami had Marino and arguably the quickest release in history. If you could handle the pressure, the back end of their D was average. That D could have been picked apart by Marino. Their offense was not great either. It was decent. They had a good running game with Payton and McMahon could hit some deep ones to Gault if you played the run too much. Miami was a pretty good D at the time and had handled them pretty well during the regular season. IMO that year was Marino's best chance to win a SB. Our team was good and pretty balanced and the NFC opponent that was weak where we where strongest and their strength was largely ineffective against us.

all time favorite was SB VII! Favorite recent game was the 31-27 win over the Jets on Ronnie brown's run w 6 seconds left on 10/12/2009. Of the many games I've seen there, I never saw the stadium literally rocking and shaking like it was that night.
