I hope it is a coronation Sect, as much as I'm not a huge NBA fan it's nice when the good guys win. To me, the one player whom I really don't care for his Dwight Howard, cannot believe teams are still trying to court him publicly. Whined to get out of Orlando, whined in LA (shoulder) imo he's just overrated.
NOPE. the illegal sub came before the shot attempt. so the Heat shoot a tech, and the Spurs are then down 1 instead of tied.
I don't know about NBA rules but when I was managing baseball, if there was a dispute, you could declare that you're playing the game under protest and after the game, if your protest is upheld, the game would be restarted from that point of protest. I imagine something similar would occur in the NBA.
I would think it would be 95-95 with 5 seconds remaining... Allen shoots a free throw and Miami gets the ball after. Allen likely hits a free throw making it 96-95 and San Antonio would foul Miami as soon as they took the inbound pass... then it would be a matter of making two free throws so who knows...
I can't see the league stripping anyone of a title though, regardless of how legitimate the complaint is.
Ethan said the league likely would have just issued an apology letter to the Heat. I'm not sure though. The result would have just been a Game 7. That Game 7 would have been the most watched and controversial NBA game in league history. It might be anyway but I wonder if the NBA would argue against the idea of bringing in more ratings and revenues like that.
The Heat would probably be able to pick from the guys who were on the floor. So Ray Allen. Thank God this cluster did not come to fruition.
I think I may have to leave work early tomorrow night cause ahem, ill be sick G7 or staying employed....hmmmm. Choices a sports fan always struggles with. Also I thought this was a nice little article for us Knick fans (i.e. me and Fin-o) and gives some perspective as to why letting JR Smith go (whether in a sign and trade or just outright) is a really good idea as long as they are able to acquire another scorer somewhere along the way (maybe something with Tyreke Evans?).... http://www.postingandtoasting.com/2013/6/19/4437950/how-good-was-iman-shumpert-in-the-playoffs
Allen is the no brainer choice imo. Guy can shoot FT's with his eyes closed. Would have been stunned if he missed it under that scenario considering hes done it 1000x late in games. Hes been automatic since he was at Uconn (and probably before)...
I'm not an NBA fan by any stretch of the imagination (I prefer college hoops), but I don't mind catching games during the playoffs because there's actual intensity on both sides of the court. Too much of the regular season is just pacing for the playoffs. That said, last night's game was one of the most entertaining games I've seen since Jordan back in the day. LeBron went to a whole other level in the fourth quarter after losing his headband. I really found myself rooting for him and the Heat down the stretch. Honestly that spurt in the fourth quarter from James is among the most dominant performances I've seen on either side of the court - again, probably going back to Jordan to find someone making that kind of impact on both sides of the court.
LeBron with no headband reminds me of this :
At least I won't be on pins and needles wondering if they will live up to my championship expectations. Spoiler: they won't
I was still drunk until about 1130 today.....clients came in at 930 for an apppointment to add their kids as beneficiaries on their IRA....I made a contingency % joke about them liking one kid more than the other....they barely laughed. I cooled off from there. I still feel like ****. ****ing hate these late, weeknight playoff games.
Had I not needed to get up before 4am this morning for work (very, very untypical for me) I'd have been fine with how late the game went.
Doesn't apply to Lebron since Saiyan's hair grows longer as they reach SS levels, while if anything, Lebron's hairline actually receded more. Edit: It's more like when Piccolo takes off his training gear.
JR was the "Melo" of the 2nd team. Would be all for getting value for him if possible, him and Chandler in a package may get a solid return.
As I predicted like 50 pages ago, the Knicks wants the Mavs 13th overall pick. http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...r-Cavaliers-Interested-In-Acquiring-Mavs-Pick The Mavs dont want salary back but they do want to shed Shawn Marion as part of the move so they will need a 3rd team to facilitate this. If CP3 is really out of the question (and if the Clipps get Doc and KG it appears they are) the Knicks should be looking at something like this (which I saw on another board): Knicks receive: Wesley Matthews, Shawn Marion, Josh Freeland, #10 & #13 Mavs receive: $8.6 mil exception Blazers receive: Tyson Chandler The Knicks could then turn around and flip JR in a deal for a C, possibly Deandre Jordan since the Clips would now have Garnett at that point. Would be a very slick move for NY...
I'd have Joel shoot it. Seriously that dude is money from the line. Sent from my phone using Fapatalk 2
The Clippers are offering DeAndre Jordan for Doc Rivers and KG...and a Knick fan thinks they can pawn off their crap (JR Smith) for him. JR Smith has no value. He is seeking 50 for 5..and will be a long hold out till he gets the MLE. At the MLE he is worth more on a roster than in a trade.
All I hope is just that it means it will be a well officiated game. That's all. Don't allow either side to substitute players illegally at pivotal moments in the game. If Joey Crawford were officiating the Chris Webber timeout game, he'd have probably just awarded the timeout instead of the technical.
19-4. Scott Foster also on the crew and he is quick on the "T" trigger, so guys need to be careful. Tony Brothers is an alternate, so let's hope no tragedies befall any of the other refs in the next 12 hours.
I can root for a tragedy to befall Tony. Danny Crawford is awesome for the home team in general and also the Heat.
Yep, in the playoffs. Of course, the 4th loss was Game 3 where the Spurs hit a million three pointers and the referreing wouldn't have made any difference one way or another.
