you don't think you got a bit lucky winning this series? I include the dominance factor in a series if we're talking about history of the greatest teams.

Lebron has a lot of different skills, however, he's not that great facing the basket, unless he charges the hole like a train..his combination of moves to get by a defender in the half court sometimes is lacking in creativity..I know its nit picking the best but Once again just trying to figure out where I think his game slots..A mean he's already top 5 at 28.

Do heat fans think you could of beat the spurs with DUncan, ginobili, and Parker in their prime? Ginobili and Duncan are old.

Luck plays a part in every single championship that is ever won.

The SHAQ Lakers had several extremely lucky events happen to win the first two of their three titles.

You called the Heat's offense "not pretty". What the **** are you talking about?

You do realize that the Advance metric guys are hypothesizing that this might have been the best offensive team of all-time...right?

Do you think the Spurs win any more than 2 games int his series if Wade was not having his knee drained?

Based on Efficiency, this Duncan was just as good as the Duncan that won the title 7 years ago.

and yes...this team would have beaten those spurs, since this current Spurs team is one of the best Spurs teams ever OVERALL. Kwahi Leonard, Danny Green and Gary Neal are better than ANY of the support players those Spurs teams had, save for MAYBE Bruce Bowen.

I don;t think it is possible for you to be any more stubborn.

    I'm a heat homer.

Just like the LEGIONS of *******s at ESPN are Celtic, Knick, Bulls, Spurs, Etc...Homers.

The god damn pregame show of the NBA Finals and the largest TV entity ties to the NBA is ESPN and ABC. Their pregame show has three SELF-ADMITTED Homers and TWO Self-Admitted haters of the Heat. SImmons and Wilbon have said on many occasions that they HATE this team and root for their own (Bulls and Celtics) and oops..those two teams happen to be huge rivals of the Heat. Coincidence I bet.

Then you have TNT, who has SHAQ (who left Miami under bad circumstances), Kenny Smith, who spent this year ripping the Heat, and Charles Barkley who is the most notorious Heat hater since proclaiming "I would pick Osama Bin Laden over the Heat if I could".

That Takes care of TV....except that it doesn't. NBC Sports network's top "talent" is that ***** Michelle Beadle, who proclaimed the Heat "evil" and is a huge Spurs fan. She also once joked about the Heat plane crashing. Nice!

Let's go onto Sportscenter, where damn near all of them are north-easterners who hate this team because they beat THEIR teams. Check their BIOS, and where they ALL come from...it is New York, it is Boston, LA, Chicago.

Then you have the top TV property of ESPN in First Take. Cari Champion, a self admitted Laker fan who has said more than a few dumb things about the Heat. Stephen A Smith who has decided to stir **** all year, and is a Knick fan. Then you have Skip Bayless. Rest my case on that.

Then their highest rated show? PTI is Wilbon (Bulls homer) and Kornheiser (Knicks homer).

    Here is my favorite part:

For the Bulls series...TNT assigned Steve Kerr (a guy who admitted to LeBatard that he roots for the underdog as a general principle on the broadcast).

Then for the EC Finals versus the Pacers, they gave us the greatest Pacer of all-time Reggie Miller to provide his unbiased analysis.

    Now for print:

The top goto guy on the Heat in print is this fat bastard Brian Windhorst, who is a Cleveland homer for ****s sake. Yeah..objective.

Jason Whitlock is the second most read sports writer online, (behind Simmons who is the aforementioned ring leader at times). He has spent 3 years ripping them and is a...wait for it.....wait for it...a self-admitted "delusional" Pacer fan.

Then you have the whole host of haters like Gregg Doyel, Jenn Engel, etc..that pump out **** on a regular basis.

it is what it is. The Hate/Bias is real. If you don't see it, open your ****ing eyes.

But hey...we got LeBatard..so that evens things out.

Let's say both rosters are in their prime.

Spurs get: prime Duncan, prime Ginobili, prime Parker (he's already in his prime, but whatever).

Heat get: prime Allen, prime Battier, prime Miller, prime Haslem, healthy Wade.

    Heat in 5.

Why should anyone outside of Miami like the Heat? Of course they are hated, every dominate team in any sport is hated. Add in the "decision" debacle and most fans believing that the Heat were put together outside of the rules and you have basically everyone who isn't a Heat fan hating the Heat. So what? Should the media love the Heat? Why?
I think the media is justifiably giving James his due. I've been watching everyone basically proclaiming Lebron right behind Jordan, which is where I place him myself. But I hate this team and I think I have every right to as an NBA fan and a Wizards fan. I mean you know how many Heat fans I knew outside of this message board before the creation of the big three? None, now I work with at least 10 and run into random fans wearing gear just about every day. I bet if I asked these fans who Rony Seikaly is they'd be stumped, between the bandwagon and the way the team was put together of course every fan outside of Miami hates them. Would you really want it any other way though?

Dominant teams are generally liked and remembered. Who hates the Showtime Lakers, Bird's Celtics, or Jordan's Bulls?

The Decision was conceived by ESPN and pitched to Maverick Carter. The offer presented to LeBron was "hey, announce your free agency destination on ESPN and we'll raise $5 million for the Boys & Girls Club." And LeBron was supposed to say no to this? Are you telling us that if you were put in that position, you would say no? If so, you're a liar.

What does the attitude of fans have to do with the attitude of the media? You've set up a nice strawman here.

Additionally, who says the media should love the Heat? The objection is that the media has gone so far overboard in a way they have not done with any other team except perhaps the Patriots. They should be evenhanded, not in love.

You do, yes. All we ask is that if you get a job on the ESPN pregame show, you try not to let it derange your analysis.

First you say that people hate dominant teams. Now you complain about bandwagon Heat fans. Pick one.

    Rajon Rondo strikes again.

This is the second major Celtics component Rondo has chased out of Boston. The first was Ray Allen.

He really isn't easy to coach.

Most of the dominant teams were hated during their runs, people begin to appreciate them after they win multiple championships, people are warming up a little bit to the Heat and Lebron is certainly getting a lot of love from the media and fans. People start to appreciate great teams as time goes by. I didn't root for the Bulls during the Jordan era but I couldn't help but appreciate them after 3 or 4 titles. The Heat will get their due its just going to take another title or so.

The decision was handled so poorly and such a terrible idea that I don't really see the point of arguing about it. I appreciate the fact that money was raised but lets stop acting like it wasn't also about publicity and branding, it most certainly was.

Not true at all. Just look at ratings. You are projecting your opinion on to an entire populace that doesn't share it.

Yes, it was about publicity and branding… for ESPN, by ESPN.

And without veterans like Garnett and Pierce in the locker room he would just be unbearable. I don't think Rivers has any intention of coaching a team built around Rondo. Shame because he's an amazing player but he's uncoachable and won't win anything in the league.

What am I projecting and what do ratings have to do with anything?

Lebron was after publicity for himself with that ill advised decision nonsense, he listened to see some bad advice from some people that didn't have his best interests at heart. The whole thing was handled poorly I didn't think this was still up for debate after Lebron himself admitted how poorly it was done.

League wouldn't approve trading players in deal for coach where it appeared that it was quid pro quo trade for a coach. Any team can give permission to another team to interview coach under contract and then receive compensation for allowing that coach to leave. It's not a trade per se.

Awesome so we're playing the "what if" game. I'll give you Duncan and Ginobili in their prime (Parker is a moot point, because he's playing as well right now as he ever did in his prime if not better). You give me Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen in their prime.

    And I'll beat you.

Right because Rondo was the main reason why. He meant a team with Rondo as its go to player and face of the franchise.
