It has nothing to do with having a team in the race. It has to do with your perception of Lebron's success. You set the bar way too high if you're not impressed with what he's done this Finals. And that isn't allowing you to see things regarding Lebron objectively. JMO.

The only people still talking about the Heat's win are Heat fans....its over for everyone else. We watched the finals hoping that they would lose, they didn't so everyone is either watching hockey or waiting for the NFL to start. I don't really get what the outrage is from Heat fans, what exactly do you need from the media or other fans?

Yeah, because it is every day a team wins back to back championships. I mean, that happens all the time, right?

What we want? What we want is not to be judged on a double standard. If the Heat had lost you can bet your house every talking show on ESPN would have had several segments about the Heat debacle, Lebron anti-clutch, break up the the Big 3, Jordan > Lebron, Kobe > Lebron, etc etc.

As it is, Heat won? Nothing to see here. Move along. Let's talk about Nadal, Hockey, and golf.

So someone cannot watch Lebron and try to compare his game against the top 5 players in modern history without being objective...what a crock a sh@& that is..

I think the main grip here is that ESPNs top rated show, you know the channel that is 24/7 sports, did not mention a word about NBA Champions, a weekend after they were crowned.

Again, I see what you are saying here - but the fact that ESPNs "Best" show didn't mention HEAT, on a show where they discuss 20+ topics a show is a bit ridiculous.

Also, I feel that I haven't used to word "show" enough. Show. Show show. Shooooow

You arent comparing DJ...I've only seen you say he has trouble getting around defenders with his dribble. Which isn't even really true. He gets where he needs to in order to make the right play.

The only player you can compare to his is Magic Johnson (who IMO was a better player than Jordan) and Lebron even has things he does a whole lot better than Johnson.

best player I ever saw was shaq imo dude was such a force. Jordan was damn good but I liked shaq more. Aslo was too young to watch magic, kareem, or bird.

I think if Shaq had any drive to become a better player, he would be an unquestioned top 5 player IMO.

Also, that 3 peat Kobe had with Shaq? If LeBron gets drafted on to that team, I don't think Shaq leaves - and I don't think they stop winning championships.

Yeah but thats what happens when your team SHOULD win a title every year. Its nothing to write home about when you have a stacked team that should win every title, every year. I mean if they lose its news if they win its like 'yawn' they should have won who cares, what else is on? Sorry but thats what comes with this team and the way it was built. Everyone wants you to lose and no one cares if you win.

Yes, people can compare Lebron to the past greats. You however cannot. Because you are not objective when it comes to Lebron.

None of those teams were "dream teams" already anointed the greatest ever that would win 8 titles before they ever played a game. This is a pretty unprecedented team that was built in an unprecedented way, and really no one cares when they win outside of the Heat fans, its just the way that it is.

Well then understand our gripe. We do have a reason to be upset. We don't get any credit when we win because "hey, you were supposed to win", it doesn't get covered, nobody cares; but we sure as hell get KILLED when we lose, everyone dissects what went wrong and who is to blame, everyone rejoices.

Your team gets killed when you lose because your big mouthed stars opened their big mouths and anointed themselves before they did squat. Anyone who does that is going to get that kind of treatment because they frankly deserve it. No one likes people trash-talking like theyre big shots before theyre actually big shots. Its not like they said they would win this year. They anoited themselves an 8x winner before they won 1! You mean to tell me if my Knicks did that every Heat fan and Bulls fan and Celtics fan and so on wouldnt have something to say? Come on.

Now do you deserve some credit AFTER you win? Yeah, you do. But as long as this group is together youre also going to have to hear about it every time you lose. Few times in sports history have players conspired to get on the same team years in advance. Never in NBA history has it been players the caliber of James and Wade.

For better or worse you should probably get used to it. Its good for ratings.

Oh, so saying we joined so we can win 8 championships is anointing yourself? Now the heat trash talked? Yikes, we are fabricating narrative now it seems.

Never in NBA history players have conspired to join other great players? Really?

Yeah thats called anointing yourself. When you stand on a podium in front of an audience and proclaim yourself the next dynasty and 6 or 8 time winner whatever it was you get what you deserve. I have no love for the Heat anyway but that was classless. And like It said, it was few times and its never been players the level of James and Wade. There's nothing fabricated about it, everyone hates the Heats guts. Get used to it.

You and the majority of people here on this board arent bandwagoners. There are a ton of people though who werent wearing Heat gear before Lebron got there now calling the Heat their team. These were Bulls fans and Laker fans previously. They jump from one bandwagon to the next. Theres definitely a fair amount of them in every city. They should be rounded up and herded off to an island of fake sports fans.

On a different note, have you heard any juicy rumors for the NYK this offseason?
The Knicks would win that. Tyson Chandler can box out Brittney Griner! Maybe. :(

Including the media. I rest my case.

and sorry..hard to find a classier organization in SPORTS than this Heat Org.

Every single Press Conf. started with a Heat player giving credit to their opponents, while jackasses like Chicago and Indiana pouted off the court.

"Conspired." As if Pat Riley spent 3 years gutting every contract on his team--while making the playoffs!--because he mind-read three guys in two different countries.

    Actually, that sounds pretty badass.

Please help me figure this out. I am really trying to understand what argument you are trying to make.
Because of the "Not not one not two not three..." it makes everything okay? So you are are saying that if LeBron wouldn't of said those words, but instead said something like "We're here to win multiple championships" They wouldn't be universally disliked across the country, because of that one sentence?
I'm sure it has nothing to do with Miami (read: Riley da Gawd) outsmarting the rest of the league and raking greatest free agent class in league history.
Clinging on to those words as a last resort of "hate", especially coming from you two (I'm including Boik in this post because he thanked you, so I'm assuming he agrees with you) From self admitted HEAT haters.

LeBron demonstrated over and over that he is, in fact, the greatest player on the planet by a landslide. He killed the clutch narrative and then burned its body and send the ashes so Skip Bayless. It's hard to bad mouth a team that has gone to the Finals all three years that they've been together and wining back to back titles, so you have to resort to last ditch efforts. So instead of admitting that it's indeed at very least odd that ESPNs top rated show doesn't say a word after they win back to back championships, its okay, because "WELL THEY SAID THEY WILL WIN IT SO THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO NOBODY CARES" After spending your time glued to the TVs with the rest of the countries (ratings agree with me) hoping, desperately wishing that this team would fail, fold like they did in 2011, you can't even try to pretend to be a good sport about it and instead you stick your hand in the sand and refusing to bulge. Why? Because they said they were there to win Championships. Not 1, not 2 not 3...
So please, hate on if you want to. Go ahead. I won't try to stop you. Only thing I'm asking is that if you will continue to hate, don't use a phrase said tongue in cheek at a pep rally as an excuse. Admit that you hate for one reason only - We are better than you.
Everybody wanted LeBron - We got him. You guys wanted Miami to fail over and over - they didn't. They stumbled, they lost to a great veteran Mavs team that beat us fair and square, and in process opened Spo's eyes on the future of this team - and they haven't looked back since.

    So to summarize...hate away. Please.
Just don't shy away from the fact why you truly hate.

    Agree on the bandwagon effect.

As for the Knicks..I have heard the usual. My "source" in New York (hint: I work for the guy) says that the scuttlebutt is that Melo will be proactive in pressuring the Knicks to improve or he may pull up his tent and make noise.

I will give you a pretty reliable thing I heard that makes a ton of sense. I heard that the Knicks might explore Wes Matthews and Tyreke Evans. ( I like both moves) I would say that Ray Felton/Tyson Chandler would be the price to pay.

Pretty simple...pawn off both for one of those guys...go get Ronnie Brewer, and specialists...draft a young PG...get a stop gap guy like DJ Augustine to start. That should be enough to be right there in the Semi's for a shot at the throne in the ECF's.

I hated you guys vs. Indy this season, and told you so, (My only big bet this season, (Pacers in 6) I LOVE you guys vs. Chicago. So I say..build to beat Indy.

The way the Heat players are handling themselves now is a little different then 3 years ago. Personally, I do see a difference. Sadly, it doesnt matter to me. They are the Jets of the NBA to me. Nothing I like about them aside from their fans being a lot nicer then Jet fans.

Conspired as in James Wade and Bosh decided on Miami in the 08 Olympics 2 years in advance of their free agency. Conspired as in they planned it in advance and James in particular strung everyone along for the ride. Wade no one with a brain figured was leaving Miami. Hes loved by the Heat fans and for good reason. Bosh, I didnt figure to be part of that.

And Riley DID dump every contract just like Walsh tried to clean up Isiahs mess in time....and did a decent job.

Interesting fact. If the Heat beat the Mavs straight up, (Remember that the Heat had leads in Games2, 4, and 5) does Spo not begin to revolutionize the NBA? (like that?)

hell..Spo had the Best coach in the NBA Gregg Popovich adopt his philosophy and change his rotation in the Finals to combat it.

The Knicks found their game because of it, the GS Warriors are attempting it with a younger model.

Maybe losing to the Mavs was the best thing that could have happened.

That jives with what Ive heard about melo wanting a 2nd scorer. How much value do you think Chandler has?
Any chance we see something like:
    Portland gets: Tyson
    Kings get: Felton
Knicks get: Wes Matthews, Tyreke Evans, Jason Thompson and the Blazer 1st (pick 10, draft MCW there or Cody Zeller)?

Do you think the Mavs get anyone of meaning (meaning better then Monta Ellis)? Reason I ask is because I could see Dirk becoming available if they dont....

You definitely said they match up poorly with indy. personally i think they match up just as poorly with the Bulls. They were 0 for Chicago this year and that was without rose.

I think my points are valid and as a Heat fan i didnt really expect you to like hearing it or agree with it. It wasnt personal. I could see a lot of people disliking your team for the reasons I mentioned and I know for a fact that there are plenty who feel the same. no..not that deal...drop one of the "gets" in Matthews or Evans.

Then yes....remember, that Tyson is now considered a bad contract.

I just don;t think Chicago has a sustainable style in the playoffs, and the rumor is that they will weaken themselves by dumping their true second best player in Deng.

The Knicks goal is simple..win more games than Indy again. Indy is at the mercy of the refs that somehow make them invincible in that ****hole in Indiana.

FWIW they denied the rumors about Deng to cleveland or Washington. We know thats about as meaningful as dirt in the NBA a lot of times but just sayin.

As a Knick fan I know hes owed a lot but I can see someone overpaying because of his defensive reputation even if its only a bit. Im very curious to see what they do with Tyson and maybe Amare (though i still think we're stuck there)
