there is also an attorney on the phone with NFL am right now saying the fact that they showed up with 7 officers at his house and did not inform his lawyers is a sign for some serious stuff

It doesn't do anything to the justice system to not give him the courtesy of turning himself in.

Yeah, the fact that past police were acting like thugs in the past make being a dick now okay.

If you're a cop, it's not okay to get pissed off and be spiteful. I've dealt with many cops over the years and the best ones are the ones that treat everybody with respect whether they deserve it or not. The ones that walk around with a chip on their shoulder and see everything as a slight or anything they do as justified are the ones that give all cops a bad name.

That's irrelevant to how the cops should act.

It just shows that they're acting out of anger or spite. That's the image most people have of the justice system. Most people don't see it as fair or impartial anymore.

You don't know their motivation for doing so. You are assuming that because they didn't show him the courtesy, they are doing so out of anger or spite.

And if the Dolphins did that we'd have been criticsized for being too rash before justice was served.

Well of course no one could predict he would catch a murder charge, but he had character concerns dating back to when he was at UF and Gronk's back issues were well documented. There was no need to extend or re-sign either one of them last year, their contracts weren't up. The Pats took a calculated risk and it appears to have blown up in their faces. Meanwhile Welker is in Denver playing for less money than the Pats gave either Gronk or Hernandez. The Patriots look like Wile E Coyote, throwing away the bomb after it's already blown up in their faces. Yet you're giving them credit for it like it's some class act. I disagree. It's a face saving move, plain and simple.

Miami Dade police have issued an A.P.B. for any Dolphin fans who criticized Ireland for not drafting Hernandez or Gronk. Anyone with info on their whereabouts are asked to call (305) 627-7100.

Ravens should be interested. After all they had no problem employing the murdering Ray Lewis all these years.

the police 1st mentioned the possible obstruction charge on Friday. He had 4 days to cooperate, and possibly he was too arrogant and told the police **** you, and they did by making him do the perp walk.

the issue isn't them taking a calculated risk. I've already acknowledged that. The issue is how much of a risk. You are saying there was a large risk due to gronk's back issues and aherns past. Yet you still acknowledge that no one could predict that ahern would go as far as murder. Gronk had back issues before? How many nfl players have a past history with the law or medical issues? A good majority I'm willing to bet. Again you are grasping at straws.

No, but I know they didn't do the classy and frankly easier thing of just calling his attorney and telling him to have his client turn himself in. But in my experience, prosecutors often have political aspirations. When I worked in the Dade county and Washoe courts along with the District courts it was incredibly obvious which attys were prosecutors. So when I see the prosecutor go for the media covered arrest when they don't need to it's almost always been about one of two things. They're either going for the show for themselves or their pissed off at the suspect. This might be the exception, but in my experience the odds of it being the exception are small, not impossible but small.

In my experience cops have different reasons for doing different things. In other words they are human and trying to narrow it down to some small field is pretty fruitless.

What I am saying is that they don't deserve any praise whatsoever for cutting ties with Hernandez at this point. The **** has already hit the fan. If Dez Bryant caught a murder charge and the Cowboys released him the next day no one would say "good ol Jerry, atta boy". But since it's Belichek he gets a pass. No worries, we're going to knock some of that teflon off his *** this season.

If the cowboys released dez after he got charged with murder, I'd still say "good, they should do that". If ray lewis got released by the ravens, I would say "good, they should do that". Just as I am now. Again, you are wrong.

I think the issue is that he has obstructed the investigation. Who knows what Hernandez would have done once he was informed he had to turn himself in?

In a business world it's the norm to see someone doing something ethically wrong. Not really a kin to tying ones shoes. Bad comparison.

Agreed, but let's face it- Cops are human like everyone else. They run the gamut of personalities and temperaments. Personally, I think anyone who risks their life to keep our streets safe should be allowed to do their job any way they sit fit, within the confines of the law of course.

I'm sure there is a morals clause that he just violated. Not only will they not pay him, they will go after the money that was fronted him just like they did to Vick. Green is green and the Pats will want their green back (see what I did there, huh, huh, huh?).
