I still dont see the harm in what Microsoft is trying to do. Their mistake is in the way they're doing it and the price point of the machine imo. Also, once someone figures out how to give the Xbox One a false signal that the games on the drive are legit, it's going to be open season on that thing because all games play off the hard disk normally. The douchebag in me (and that's a huge part of me... ) is actually happy in a way.

While it's better than wiping them out, they should never expire as it is essentially a gift card (unless MS went under).

Do people normally hang on to their points for over a year?

If you have enough of them. I tend to buy them when they are on sale and just bank them in my account for when I see something that interests me, I don't usually buy points with the intention of spending them immediately.

Also, here's some comparison photos of ps3 controller vs ps4.

Supposedly (based on the few opinions I've read) the new controller is waaaay better than the origonal ps3 or ps3 dual shock controller, and rivals (if not beats) the 360 controller. Some people don't seem to like the Xbox One controller as much as the 360 controller, but I've seen less opinions on that controller than the ps4.

Which is the biggest reason I'm sad to see points go. MS points were on sale far more frequently than PSN cards.

Yea, but they changed the bumpers I guess, and some people find them more difficult to use (at least that is my understanding - perhaps they just didn't feel right because it wasn't what they were used to).

I never thought MS would back down over the DRM until spring 2014, at the earliest. The pushback from gamers and preorder numbers (along with a gleeful Sony) must have been too much for them.

So, the system will now be known to me as: Xbox One-Eighty (in honor of the 180 turn MS just took on DRM). :)

Since I already have a launch-day PS4 preorder on Amazon, and having lost all trust in MS, I am going with Sony for this generation and maybe picking up an Xbox One-Eighty when it gets to $299 or less.

Not sure who actually cares, but NBA Live 14 is exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One. No luck if you're sticking with 360 or ps3 for a while (although who knows if it will be any good anyways, or even better than 2K).

2K has been on a roll with it's basketball games. I seriously doubt EA will make a dent in the 2K crowd in their first go (for a while) unless they do something crazy like 2K did back in the day and make the game cheaper... Like $40 or something.

I agree. The only way NBA Live will steal market share is to put out a quality product at a lower price point... those 2k basketball games are incredibly fun.

Speaking of 2k, I believe NCAA football is up for grabs starting this year. Here is hoping for a 2k football game in the relatively near future.

Preaching to the choir. I still play NFL 2k5 with Fiedler airing it out to Chambers and having Ricky run for 150+ yards haha.

A lot of people myself included and nearly everyone I know are getting tired of 2K. It's gotten progressively ****tier and ****tier starting with 2K9. Particularly online play and especially team play which is mostly what we do. But there is plenty of vomit inducing bugs and game play flaws in single player as well.

I think a lot of people are looking for a better NBA game or at least some competition to cause 2K to start making decent games again. It's becoming a Madden situation with them. Only NBA game around so they half *** it knowing it will still sell millions of copies. Getting rid of crews being the biggest case of half-assery to date. Made My Player useless and boring.

If EA adds Ultimate Team I'll pick it up for sure. I know 2K added My Team but it's not very good at all Imo. I love Ultimate Team in Fifa and think it's pretty decent in Madden. Very interested to see how well it's implemented in NCAA this year.
