Not sure how to feel about the 76ers moves. I know the 76ers new GM is very, very high on MCW. Sam Hinkie is a huge proponent of advanced stats and supposedly MCW has advanced stats really going his way as a prospect. I also know the 76ers have been looking for an athletic freak shotblocker like Noel for some time. After Bynum though, any knee injury on a big worries me, probably more than it should. Losing Holiday sucks, but if MCW can be as good as the organization thinks, it won't really matter. We also get NO's first next year. This also confirms Bynum isn't coming back I would say. I like the Glen Rice Jr. pick as well. Kid looked very good in the D-League last year leading his team to a title.

The biggest thing for me, is it looks like the 76ers might finally be doing the right thing and tanking. Trying to get in on the Wiggins sweepstakes. Or Randle/Parker.

.....I have an analogy for how trades in The NBA Draft work, but as apt as I think it is, it may be a bit out of line, so I'll bite my tongue.

Chicago did not have enough cap space to land all three. They had too much committed already with Deng, etc...

They had enough for 1 full, and another at a slight discount. As it turned out, they spent it on Boozer and a bench consisting of Korver, and CJ Watson.

The Heat loved Tim Jr. so there is that....

he just didn't fall far enough for the Heat to buy back in.

I am really interested in seeing who that SEC guard/forward was that the Heat was so hot over. I know that they devoted an unusual amount of resources to scouting this mystery man.

Now...go offer Kenny Kadji a summer league spot. He can play int eh NBA. He is a rotation player right away. he can move, and shot the three at 6'-11". Chris Bosh once lit him up in a scrimmage, and then worked with him for a while afterwards. Bosh said that he got better with each workout, and he then became the player he was this last year for the Canes.

Late bloomer? I say sign him and find out.

I think Philly should go in (and looks like they are) to full tank mode.
Suck for Luck of sort...Nothing comes to mind that rhymes with Wiggins. Dallas made out well. I hope Dwight goes to Houston simply because I think they will be a good basketball team that'll be fun to watch.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope? He was rated a late 1st rounder when the season ended, but then seemed to explode as the draft process went on. He played on a bad team in my understanding and still put up real good numbers.

Size concern and better PGs out there? I'm sure he'll get a chance to make a team.

Atlanta is poised to be dreadful as well, we could easily see a sub .500 team make the playoffs in the East this season.

Heat traded for James Ennis out of Long Beach state.

Actually decent prospect for the 50th pick. Danny Green type shooter, very athletic. Turnover machine when he handles the ball though.

Very happy to wake up and read the knicks signed CJ Leslie as a UDFA. He was a preseason top 15 player and didnt work as hard as he could have this year. Maybe now he will. Nice upside with this signing and he could replace what Copeland brought to the table since Copeland is drawing a fair share of FA interest already.

Yeah, same kind of player. I think his top level is Danny Green, which would be great for a team like the Heat.

Agreed. Glad we added athleticism but wish we would've added it up front to help with defense/rebounding rather than shooting whichw e have an abundance of. But I can only surmise that the team saw something in Ennis to even bother getting back in the draft at that point. Maybe a Ray/Battier replacement in 2 years when those guys are gone.

Supposedly he had a 2nd round promise. I dont know if it was one of the traded picks but im happy he fell right in to the Knicks lap and supposedly they pounced. Good move by Grunwald. Hes a talented kid who needs to assert himself and not be afraid to be the best player in the court which throughout his college career he seemed to be.

James Ennis tape is off the charts.

He has a 6'-11" wingspan, and can jump out of the building. Good athleticism boost.

he will have every opportunity to make the team this year, unlike Justin Hamilton last year.

The highlight mix tape looks good. Don't think I would call it off the charts good. But when you watch a single-game tape of his like the UC Davis game, it looks a lot less impressive.

The Heat are 2/1 for next year's NBA Championship. Oklahoma City is at 11/2, and both the Nets and Clippers are at 10/1.

The Pacers at 15/1 and the Grizzlies at 20/1 seem cheap, don't they? Is anything set to happen to either team in the off season that would seriously damage their 2013-14 seasons?

10/1? I'd be shocked if the Nets made the second round of the playoffs. You can't field a starting five that old without quality depth and expect to be physically ready for the postseason. You're stuck with managing Pierce and Garnett's minutes during the regular season without decent players to fill in for them, which will directly lead to at least a few losses.

The Heat, Pacers, Knicks, and Bulls (even without Rose) are all ahead of the Nets right now, IMO. And that Nets roster loses to the Knicks or Bulls in round 1.
