He was not advised to stop. The operator told him that he doesn't need to follow him. The wind sounds were very brief and I never heard GZ short of breath.

Ricky, reading the exchanges between you and JustRight gives me the impression your perception is that Zimmerman acted with malice from the get go. If my impression is inaccurate I apologize but it's what I read. Had Zimmerman never called 911, acted as he did and Martin was shot and killed, I'd raise an eyebrow and ponder a "hmmmm" as I asked myself, "Why didn't he call 911?" But that's exactly what he did. He DID call 911.

He called 911, reported what he had seen, expressed concern of previous break-ins, gave a description of Martin, etc. His tone of voice is calm and rational as he speaks to the dispatcher. It's only after he states that he (Martin) is running do you hear huffing and puffing through the microphone of the phone, indicating that Zimmerman was on foot pursuing Martin. Now, how "hard" was Zimmerman running when he was following Martin when the dispatcher asked if he was following him, Zimmerman said yes and the dispatcher stated, "We don't need you to do that", I don't know. I do know though from my 20 years, 6 months and 23 days in the Army, anytime I finished running, I was still huffing and puffing for some time after I stopped running, so continued heavy breathing doesn't prove he continued to pursue Martin. Granted, it doesn't disprove he didn't continue pursuing him either. Based on my own personal experience however, heavy breathing following running for a short period of time is normal after you've stopped running is normal, and that is what you do hear in the 911 call.

I went on further and longer than I intended however the bottom line, unless "you" believe Zimmerman had malice in his intent from the very beginning, it's reasonable to assume based on the fact that he did call 911, when Zimmerman told the dispatcher Martin was running, Martin was indeed running and did so at that time.

I'm the only person in this thread to list all the actual facts there are in this in this case. Your ignorant *** refuses to read them or except. Then again, you're the tool trying to convince me you don't know if Zimmerman is guilty even though its all you argue for. Zimmerman followed him in his truck. Then jumped out and gave chase. Instead of going back to his truck and wait for the cops, he took a detour. Why? The spot of the altercation was on the way to Martin's house. I've fabricated nothing. Instead, I've had to read countless examples of jackassery from yourself and others.

For example, instead of just saying "its not assault, just because", why don't you prove it with a fact or evidence or logic or something. You, JD, padre, etc. none of you have even tried to explain why Zimmerman's actions match up perfectly with the FL definition of assault is not assault. Its weak *** bs from a group of posters who post quite a bit of weak *** bs.

What's really crazy is that you think a kid who was minding his own damn business, suddenly and without provocation decided to menacingly approach a truck that was following him, somehow magically know Zimmerman was on the phone with the cops, then in a complete 180 decides to run in fear towards his home. And then the person he was running from, starts to chase him on foot, and then in yet another 180 decides he's not scared anymore and waits in hiding to jump guy he was 3 seconds ago, running from in fear. Even though that guy was not on a direct path back to his truck. I guess the kid left a trail of Skittles to lure him into his ambush. Brilliant pristine ****ing logic. Not a single hole in that magnificent and intelligent narrative at all. Nope. Nothing.

    But oh yeah, you're objective.

Again with your knee-jerk posts due to either an inferiority complex or emotions. PMS? lol J/K

Again, I offer up points of how I interpret the evidence thus far. You, OTOH, deemed GZ guilty once you read, "White man shoots unarmed black kid".

Everything in this post of yours is either a lie, a fabrication, diatribe, irrelevant, or just plain Rachel Jentel re-tarded.

You have not used ONE fact in forming your opinions. You've used race and your emotions.

If someone is slamming my head against the concrete and I have a gun, I will shoot them. Who is arguing that?

    You think about these things:

    - The wounds are not consistent with getting your head repeatedly beat against the concrete. His cuts are very, very, very minor. They didn't require stitches. He had no concussion.
    - You picture being a 17 year old kid, walking home from the store at night, when you notice a truck slowly following you. You were doing nothing wrong so you start to walk faster, the truck keeps up. Then you decide to run and the door flings open and the guy in the truck gives chase on foot. You can tell me you aren't scared for your life? Be honest.

Piss off. I haven't posted a single lie or anything made up. Once again I proved the fact list. I provided the maps of the area. I've provided the statue of what constitutes assault. I've explained how each of those things pertains to the case and why they make Zimmerman guilty. You've done little more than say, "nope that not true because I say so". Its ****ing ridiculous and its a ***** move that you keep doing it.

Start with explaining why Zimmerman's actions weren't assault. Start there.

No, not malice. I think he did a lot go things as he should have but unless Martin did in fact jump out at him, or even initiate the violence then the death should have never happened.

Most or my arguing on here is I feel accounts from either side is being accepted as fact when in actually we know very few facts.

While I don't think he had malice and there is a huge possibility that gz did nothing illegal at all and was well within his rights to do everything he did, I feel the situation could have been handled 100x better.

If I'm on that jury, he walks a free man

Because he was being followed by the truck which is why he probably headed to where the truck couldn't go. He was then chased on foot. Its insane you think this proves Zimmerman wasn't the aggressor.

that's not what Martin did though. Per Zimmerman's 911 transcript, Martin came towards him, while he was in his truck, to check him out. That's not exactly a sign of fear.

FinD, you speak as the only one in this thread that has listed the facts. How do you know what I've emboldened above as fact?
-Did Zimmerman follow him in his truck?
-Did Martin start to walk faster
-Did Zimmerman drive faster to keep up?

John Good's testimony today seemed to aid the defense more than the prosecution. It demonstrated that Zimmerman was supine and mounted by Martin as he was beating down on Zimmerman.

He was one hos way home.

Zimmerman may have felt like he was walking over there to check him put but really he was just walk home and looking at this creepy *** cracker sitting in a truck, in his neighborhood(let's not forget this was Travons neighborhood too), who then follows him.

Do u really think Travon walked out of his way to check out this guy, no.

Yes to all 3 of your questions. Look at the maps provided or look other ones up on your own. The maps prove and the phone call prove he followed him in the car. The testimony about the phone call from the girl from the initial investigation says Martin started to walk faster.

Good's testimony was about the altercation. I haven't argued any facts about the actual altercation other than then the wounds on Zimmerman's head do not match up with repeatedly having your head slammed on the concrete. I'm still waiting for someone to explain how Zimmerman's actions prior to the fight weren't assault, instead of just being told its not.

More lies... Zimmerman never followed Martin in his truck. He spotted Martin and then drove past him, stopped at the clubhouse and called 911. Martin approached GZ, saw him on the phone, and then ran. GZ then got out of his truck and followed Martin. He then lost Martin and proceeded to head back to his truck to wait for police who, according to dispatch, were in route. In the interim TM approached GZ (according to GZ) asked him if he had a problem and then sucker punched him in the face, and according to an eye witness, got on top of him, and "create downward motions with his hands and fists towards the face of GZ". <<<Paraphrasing here

yes he follows in the truck.

The girl who was on the phone with Travon says he ran, so does Zimmerman.

He didn't drive faster, he put the car in park and got out to chase on foot.

I literally would be shaking if I'm 17 and that happens to me. Luckily I would have ran home, where my dad, is a retired cop, would have handled the situation in the right way. Handling the situation would have been to arrest him or shot him dead(if he's still chasing me) and it would have been a 100% clean kill.

Travon did not have that option, he was getting snacks for his little soon to be step brother.

More lies...They prove nothing of the sort. Are you being serious? lol... GZ was sitting in his truck talking to dispatch when he sais that TM was approaching him and "checking him out". The GZ tells dispatch that "he ran". GZ, who was sitting in a stationary truck this entire time, then gets out and follows TM to see where he's heading in order to give dispatch an idea of where to send the cops. GZ loses sight of TM, and then heads back towards his vehicle in order to wait for the already-on-their-way police.

Lies? His truck was not at the clubhouse when Martin was shot. Did magic pull it forward? Oh I know, gnomes pulled the truck up closer for him so he wouldn't have to walk so far. Headed back? Really? How could he have headed back to his truck in the street but he turned down the pathway between the buildings? Look at the map again, or did I make that up too?

he did not follow in his truck. He drove past TM and parked his truck at the clubhouse. TM then proceeds to approach GZ. TM sees GZ on the phone and runs away. GZ gets out and follows in order to better give the police an idea to which direction he was running. He loses sight of TM and starts back to his vehicle in order to wait for the cops.

    0:15
    – The best address I can give you is the clubhouse. [A]
0:45 – He’s just staring at the houses. Now he’s staring at me.
    1:00 – He’s coming towards me.
1:20 – He’s coming to check me out.
    2:08 – ****, he’s running.
2:14 – Sound of truck door being closed. [C]
2:20 – He’s heading towards the back entrance. [referring to E]
2:25 – Are you following him? Yep.
    2:45 – He ran… Zimmerman stops and completes the 911 call. [E]
    4:05 – Call ends.

Here’s an estimate of Trayvon’s route back to Brandy Green’s townhouse with 911 call times included:
Martin is initially reported as hanging out near the clubhouse, looking at houses and acting suspiciously. Then he walks by Zimmerman’s truck at around 1:30 on the 911 call and proceeds east.
At 2:08, Trayvon starts running. Six seconds later, we hear Zimmerman leave his truck to see where he went.
While Trayvon runs south towards Brandy Green’s townhouse, Zimmerman continues east, and remains on the line with the 911 dispatcher.
At a slow jogging pace, Trayvon is estimated to have arrived back at Brandy Green’s townhouse at around 2:40 on the 911 call.
Trayvon may have gone inside the townhouse, but it seems more likely that he remained outside to see if Zimmerman was still following him and just continued talking to his girlfriend over the next few minutes.
After a few minutes, Trayvon seems to have walked north, back up the sidewalk to confront Zimmerman about why he was followed.
Here’s an estimate of Zimmerman’s route to the main road with 911 call times included:
George Zimmerman leaves his truck at 2:14 and reaches Retreat View Circle just over thirty seconds later at 2:45.
He agrees to stop pursuit at the dispatcher’s request. After the 911 call is complete, Zimmerman begins to head back to his truck to meet the police. At this point, he claims he was confronted by Trayvon, and walks a few steps down the sidewalk south to respond to him.
As we can see, it appears unlikely that Zimmerman ever “chased down” Martin. Zimmerman only pursued long enough to maintain visual contact to see what direction Trayvon was going.
Zimmerman traveled his entire route in around 30 seconds, he only went a very short distance and did so specifically to tell the 911 dispatcher where Trayvon had gone.
It wasn’t until several minutes later that their altercation took place, when Martin apparently doubled back to confront Zimmerman.

Watch the walk through. His truck was parked near the clubhouse. When the dispatch asked him where he was he said, "The best address I can give you is the clubhouse." He never moved the truck after that because the audio clearlyreveals that he gets out of the car.

  37. I feel the exact opposite. I think the fact that she is a minority who sometimes finds her a target of racism should make it less understandable.

That would be like someone saying that its understandable for a person in Germany to be a Nazi or a person from West Virginia a member ok the KKK. Difference of opinion but that excuse don't wash with me.

OK, you're right. He's parked about 30 yards past the clubhouse. However, this further proves you wrong. GZ states that he sees TM near the clubhouse, looking at houses. He drives past Martin and stops. TM then approached GZ, saw he was on the phone, and then ran. GZ got out of his vehicle and followed him in order to give better directions to the dispatcher he was on the phone with.
