If only Hernadez followed Tebow's example. Then he too could have been a really terrible quarterback.
Or became a better person & wouldn't be behind bars for murder. -Sent from my TMO Samsung Galaxy S4
They serve glasses of milk there. Maybe he was testifying to one the troubled young ladies over a chocolate milkshake. Change. One life at a time.
In what way? Marvin's story is far more intriguing, given that he always appeared semi sedated. Finding out who Marvin Harrison really was, is akin to finding out Mr. Rodgers was a mob boss.
Nothing just that, of course they could tact more on, but a great deal....he must have be along for the ride...
Can someone explain to me the thought process of extending a 22 year old before his rookie contract was up, I mean they knew he had flags, why on earth would he out of all people be extended beforehand.??? Dumasses.
Really the guy was a red flag for all the thirty-one teams. Pats however took a risk on him. Now wonder what they are thinking after this murder charge on him?
My guess is they were hedging their bets on Gronk being the problem child going forward, what with his antics and injuries. They probably thought extending Hernandez at the time they did, not only locked him up long term, but saved them money in case he blew up as their starter and demanded more. I get their reasoning. I am retry sure the red flags everyone is talking about, didn't include "strong possibility of being a multi-person murderer."
He will be in protective custody when in jail & will have a bullseye on his back. -Sent from my TMO Samsung Galaxy S4
Of course not but We've now found out that Hernandez was not popular in the locker room, a loner, untrustworthy amingst some vets, lets say a bit shady, I would think a little diggin would be a prerequisite before you give a kid 40 mill..
It doesn't matter what crime the red flags foreshadowed. The fact is the red flags indicated that AH would at some point be causing his team grief by running afoul of the law.
So someone tell me, since he became a PATRIOT, what red flags were thrown? What indicators did New England get to NOT lock up an extremely young and talented tight end? I think a lot of you are using hindsight to predict the past, here. By most accounts, he was a fairly model citizen around his teammates and coaching staff. I know Matt Light said he didn't like him, but he pretty much piled on after Aaron got arrested and failed to elaborate o. What he said, just that he never bought in to what Hernandez stood for. Maybe Hernandez was pro gay marriage and Light hated that.
There were red flags before he was drafted and there's been rumblings since. Just because they aren't talking about those flags doesn't mean they didn't exist. And quite frankly, if there were flags before the draft, and we know he just shot someone to death, then chances are the red flags didn't just disappear and then magically reappear right before he killed that guy. Either the Pats didn't research it before the extension which makes them stupid or they did and found nothing which makes them incompetent or they found flags and signed him anyway which makes them arrogant.
there is a big difference between "oh he got in a bar fight at florida" and "oh he murdered two people".
i didn't argue that. I'm saying red flags indicate there's going to be a problem. A problem that can hurt the team. regardless of the action AH did that hurt the team, chances were he was going to hurt the team.
yeah but the question is how large of a problem and is it worth not giving him a big contract. In which case a bar fight wouldn't be the same as homicides. In which case, the red flags do not say to me, the possible positive doesn't outweigh the possible negatives. Which doesn't make the pats idiots or arrogant as you put it.
His drug issues do. Many of his red flags point to a problem with that. He could be suspended. They also show he has a lack of respect for the law and rules.
sure. He could be suspended. He could also get a slap on the wrist. Again, I don't see how that equals arrogance or incompetence.
you're right. Everyone that gets into bar fights or in trouble with weed is bound to murder someone. Seriously? You sound like a 50s anti marijuana film lol
When did I say any of that? His "gang-like" thuggery has been part of the red flags since UF. His repeated drug use shows he doesn't give 2 damns, 5 ****s, or 7 ****s about authority. The fact that so much more is coming out shows he didn't stop all that stuff when he went pro. That means there was info there and red flags to indicate there should be an investigation before you drop that kind of money. This is just like Atlanta with Vick.
ok and how many people do that and do stop when they go pro? Again, how do penalties for doing weed equal losing a guy to murder? It doesn't. Not even close. Again, how is it arrogant/incompetent to pay a guy who hasn't given you trouble, as far as we know and which you just admitted, equal those traits? They don't.
