For me, it's the first Patriots game, to prove we truly have arrived as a contender for the division title.
Panthers, because I talk a lot of smack and have endlessly reminded all the fans I know that the Panthers have never beaten Miami. If we lose that game then this will be me
You feel we need to get out of the gates well, or we may struggle with the tough opponents we have to start the year?
haha... that's probably the game that is the least significant to our season though. Good luck. I think Dion Jordan shadows Newton everywhere that day.
I'll take the colts Bk, to know we beat that Qb is big for me, it also gives us some momentum coming back to play at home and you know how important that is in terms of turnout. I think this franchise needs a 2-0 start real bad.
It's not a division or even conference game but each win will be really important. The main thing for me is getting into the playoffs any way we can. Outside of AFCE games and the one I mentioned, I might go with DJ's pick of Indy. There's more than just the QB position but it'd be nice for Tanny to win that duel and possibly put us at 2-0 with the next three games being Atlanta, New Orleans on the road, and Baltimore.
I was so excited for that formation, I knew it's limitations, I knew we needed to evolve it, I knew we had to find a guy that could throw, but I claimed a revolution was upon us..I think the read option is now that revolution..
Game 1. Gotta start the season off on the right foot and build some immediate momentum and confidence.
The home game against the Patriots. When is the last time Miami beat them at home, when it mattered? That's a late in the season type of game, and hopefully there's something (big) on the line for both teams. Last win at home was the Henne 22-21 game, but then the wheels fell off that season.
I understand the question and I am not trying to be a "smart a**" but my answer never changes....the game I most want to win is ALWAYS the next one. Its the only one that matters, IMO. So, my answer is Cleveland. Think about it...we have huge expectations for this team this year....if we lose that game, its going to be "This is the same ol same ol sorry Dolphins".
That's the same one I am really looking forward too, for the same reason. The other posters have a good point though. If we go 1-5 out of the gate I'll. be way less excited about the Pats game. Those early games are critical. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Since I'm assuming a sweep of both Barffalo and the Jests, and a home win against the Patsies...I gotta go with the away New England game....by 20+. By the way...this isn't a guess...my left eye twitched when I typed this...it's a sure thing!
All of them after the bye week - that is where all our divisional games lie. But, I want to go into the Superdome against the Saints (who will be aching to get into the race!), and take them. A game outside the conference against a hungry with a point-to-prove contender on their own turf is the big test. If, and that is a IFthe team can pull that one out, I will look forward to the rest of the season with frabjous joy!!!.
While I totally agree with your solid logic, for me it just always has to be both Jests games, I just can't get past my hatred for that team, and 98% of their fans who generally come from the cromagnum era just prior to humans.
Agree. Need to get off to a good start against a team weshould beat. I'm going to that game with some friends that are big Browns supporters. Would be a nice ride back to Chicago with a win. Browns are 1-13 in season openers since renewing their franchise. I don't want to be #2.
Brandon Weeden will not be a push over, he lost his best weapon but that dude is only getting better.
I have to agree. A loss to Cleveland in the first game of the year would be a huge step backwards for this team. They have a really difficult schedule in the next four weeks after they play Cleveland. Personally I think they will probably go 2-3 or possibly 1-4, even with a win over the Browns. So a loss to the Browns will put the team in a hole after the first game of the season. The game against the Browns in Cleveland is going to be a tough opener for the Dolphins and is also a must win if they expect to finish with a possible winning record in 2013.
