Well, here's a plus if the Heat want to make an appeal to Ian Clark. He's playing his first game with Golden State and it doesn't sound like things are working out too well. He's played 10 minutes, is 0 for 3 with one of his shots blocked, has committed one personal and has two rebounds. Pretty lackluster performance.

    News for the Day:
Al Harrington is expected to be bought out by Orlando. Knicks are thought to be a suitor
Artest cleared Amnesty waivers and the Knicks are thought to be favorites though hes supposedly considering China.
Tim Hardaway Jr sprained his wrist in summer league today. Obviously done for at least a few days
Jeremy Tyler flashed in summer league today. 13 and 8 in limited minutes.
CJ Leslie was the best player on the floor in todays summer league Knick win. D was lockdown and had a throwdown on Glen Rice Jr.

    In other news...
Pistons are thought to be offering Brevin Knight with an expiring contract (Villanueva?) for Rondo. Theyre gonna need to throw in a pick or 2 obviously.

Also Im giving it to you now...2 breakout stars are going to have big years in the Central division.
John Henson on Milwakee is one. I watch him and I see a focused, intelligent Javale McGee. Rebounds and blocks like a fiend and gets hustle baskets. Get him a jumper and hes going to be a beast. Milkwakee needs to be using him at PF and Ilyasova at SF.
Secondly is Andre Drummond. Hes not as fast as Henson but hes your more traditional paint anchor and does similar things well. And hes developing a post game. If he ever learns to shoot FT's and/or a jumper he will be an elite player.

This is such a ridiculously weird thing to happen. He's literally shooting free throw and everything with the opposite hand he shot with his first two seasons.

Although I love that he is ambidextrous for that little hook shot around the rim that he found some success with last year.

My God this time of year is sports purgatory. I don't really care about baseball and nothing of interest in football or basketball.

Too bad with rock-type, you know you're never getting a legendary.

I guess poison is the only real type not to get a legendary. I was unaware of any rock before 5 minutes ago.

Happy with the signing. He adds some needed toughness and the battles of smack between MWP and KG should be rich. If hes used 15-20 minutes a night, he will help.

I think MWP is kind of crazy, dirty and all about himself. I wouldn't have wanted Miami to touch him with a 30 foot pole. Not that he can't contribute but he's kind of nuts.

A legendary poison would actually be badass...on that subject.

I don't have to go to him. I'm pretty sure the Knicks have plenty of them after what The Heat did to them this season.

    So sad.

Guy sucks. He is as inefficient as you can get, his PER is abysmal, his WS is in the toilet, and his eye test tape is as bad as you can find.

Might as well have me out there at SF.

He plays good defense (which the Knicks dont have a lot of), he still generates a lot of steals/deflections/turnovers and he can still help a team win games. Hes fallen off on offense but he can still hit a 3 which the Knicks get plenty of open looks because of the way Melo draws a defense towards him

Bad example. Every single person on the postgame panel said it was the detroit fans that threw beer on Artest and that was why it escalated. Artest was wrong for going after them and he paid for it but dont act like you wouldnt go ape if someone dumped a beer on you for no reason. All artest did was a commit a foul that even the commentators said wasnt that hard a foul. Ben Wallace got his panties in a bunch over that.

Post game 6 of the ECF in Boston last year a guy dumped a beer on Lebron right in front of the camera. He just looked at the guy and kept walking off the court.

Sorry but taking all blame from MWP for malice in the palace is going too far.

uh...but that's the problem. He DOES NOT play good defense anymore. His feet are in solid blocks of cement, epoxied to the ground.

I think this might have to do with a "retirement promise" that Mike Miller did not keep.

    Interesting.

Assuming it goes through, do we have any plans?

Opens a roster spot. Perhaps a guy like Ennis just increased his odds. Any other wings out there who might be amenable to the MMLE?

Does this give us some flexibility to raise any offer to Oden?

Here is a pretty good reason to amnesty Mike Miller.

If you allow for MAX raises for the big Three next year, and two additions at the full Mini MLE....

Amnesty of Mike Miller SAVES 40 Million Dollars in Luxury Tax.
