Well, didn't watch the PPV. But based on the results....

    Likes:
-Sandow winning the WHC MiTB, though Ambrose or Barrett would have been better, IMO. No complaints though
-Ryback getting a victory over Jericho... though it may be too late for Ryback.

    Dislike:
    -Cena beating Mark Henry.
-Randy Orton winning WWE Championship MiTB

im happy with Orton winning to be honest, even though I expected Bryan. He's been stale for a long time, maybe he can catch some of the fire he once had. Sandow is interesting but whc is not a main title anymore IMO. I mean look at the WWE title match compared WHC match, future WWE vs scrubs at this point.maybe one of them make it big but who knows. I will say I was pulling for Christian even though he had no chance of winning.

Do you really think the MiTB briefcase will help with him being stale?

I'm fine with Sandow winning but my only problem is he's been a jobber for so long now the fans aren't going to buy him as a main event threat, which was the whole problem with Swagger.

you would think they would take a year to build him up a little but I think he will cash it sooner then later. And it can't be that big of a challenge since the guys he has to be believable against is Swagger, Del Rio, Ziggler

Their track record of building guys up once they win the case is poor. Ziggler and Bryan lost nearly every match before they won the titles.

Summer slam is shaping up to be a pretty good card. It would have been awkward if RVDs and Rybacks bag gets mixed up

I know that, I just find it awkward now that rvd is back that him and ryback are very similar looking now.

Think of the money he could have so had he kept it to himself. Some sites let you bet on ppvs. I won quite a bit on the WM where punk won his first mitb.

Took a year to get it though

So Del Rio is going to face Christian for the WHC at Summer Slam now. Wonder where that leaves Ambrose who was suppose to feud with Christian. Maybe RVD?

Yeah the Rays/Bryan was good as was Braves/Orton. Really for the most part it was a great article with a lot of spot on picks.

I said it before and I'll say it again, here comes yet another Big Show main event push that no one will care about.

Seriously though good for him getting back into shape, he got pretty doughy the last few years.

Sheamus has a torn labrum in his left shoulder, will have surgery and will be out 4 to 6 months. Injuries suck, even if you're not a fan of the guy which I'm not. Hopefully with the time off the WWE can think of a way to make him more interesting.

According to Dave Meltzer the original plans for WM30 main event was going to be Triple H vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (with Vince McMahon in his corner) for control of the WWE, however plans have been scrapped. No word on why or if Austin will be replaced by someone else but it's clear this McMahon power feud is going to continue for awhile.

So just to recap Dean Ambrose, the future of the company, isn't even defending his US title on the PPV, instead he's on the pregame show. Is the IC title even on the line? So much for the Axel push huh? Also has Sandow won a match since winning the briefcase?

But hey at least they're giving us some interesting feuds like Punk/Lesnar and Bryan/Cena. I just wish the McMahons and Triple H stayed out of it.

See, with the exception of last night, I actually haven't minded HHH/McMahon so much. But I think the crow-barring of HHH as the guest ref was too much. And I also can read the tea leaves and see where this is headed. Me thinks Bryan may be in line for a very short title reign.

would have been a waste of a return for Austin so I am glad the plans were scrapped. If Austin was going to return, have him fight younger talent, ones he never fought before. He has even less match opportunity then the Rock has, health wise

Eh I just don't see how this McMahon/Triple H power struggle will lead to anything good. It just seems like the ratings are low so they think they need more McMahon air time. I just don't see how the end game will lead to anything meaningful.

Yeah the obvious route is to have Bryan win the title from Cena only to have Vince bring Orton down to case in on the briefcase and then you have the Orton w/ Vince vs. Bryan w/ Triple H feud for the fall.

Exactly. If I wanted to see Austin and Triple H wrestle I will rewatch their 3 Stages of Hell match for 2001 or another match from that time period. I have no desire to see Austin vs. Triple in 2014.

  40. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

I guess I give HHH some slack because he is pretty much directly responsible for the talent that now drips out of the WWE right now. He shifted the thinking BACK to working and signing indy workers as opposed to gassed up muscle heads who have a look. The direct result is folks like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Antonio Cesaro, et al. being on national TV every week and succeeding. He is good for WWE business, in my mind. He does have an ego though and he seems to like to rub elbows with things he created or helped create just to let people know he had a hand in it, which is too bad because having him as a roaming figurehead who basically brushes off what Vince wants backstage, really isn't a terrible role for him to have at this stage.

Also, if you have ESPN Classics, they have been showing old GWF shows from the early 90's. Scott Anthony (Raven), Lightning Kid (Sean Waltman), Cactus Jack (duh), Handsome Stranger (Buff Bagwell), Ebony Express (Harlem Heat), Jerry Lynn and others are all involved...and very young. The wrestling is okay, the storylines are cheesy and the production value is awful, but I watched about three hours of it last night and enjoyed the campy-ness of it as I used to watch this on ESPN proper as a kid after school.

They were an odd federation in that they acknowledged other feds and revealed the fourth wall somewhat. They did this prior to ECW becoming famous for doing the same types of things. Take a gander if you want. Chances are you will see some wrestlers that became famous years later.
