Raised a raccoon once. They are mischievous and smart. Mix a puppy with a monkey and you get a raccoon. They suck the side of their hand the way kids suck their thumbs. We had a kitten at the same time, and we'd put them in the hutch together at night. The used to play all the time. So much so, my cat can fight like a raccoon. Raccoon's will steal food like that, but they also try to distract you and use their hand to reach into your soda or cereal or whatever. Its hilarious. His name was Fingers.
